Nah, i'd say this is supposed to represent the feeling of the warriors demonstrating the parade of death to their opponents to instill fear in them, let them know that today, they surrender or they die. Something I could see the men of Wu preform even while completely outnumbered. Nothing's scarier than someone who isn't afraid of you when they should be.

But you can't call a clan "average" when:

-Its founder was only a prefectural officer and was still as feared as men like Cao Cao by a tyrant

-It ended up defeating a vastly superior force

-The killed Guan Yu. That says a lot about them by itself...

@tsubasaISfun I read that Wu was the last one to fall, but whatever... and I don't think of Ts'ao Ts'ao as a tyrant :P He's not a great guy, though. I Sun Ts'e was my favorite Wu person, of course :P but other than that, I really only like Wu for their navy, which kicks ass. How many men did it take to take down Yu?

@Killer00433 Wu was the last one to fall, but the dynasty after the Three Kingdoms, the Jin Dynasty, was founded by Sima Yan, grandson of Sima Yi, so technically they were the successors of Wei.

@tsubasaISfun Except for the fact that the kingdom that won was not Wei, Wei was a Kingdom ruled by the Cao Family but was over thrown by the Sima Family and became known as the Kingdom of Jin. The Jin Dynasty is what took over the Three Kingdoms and fell less than 20 years after uniting the land of China.

@1FMAlchemist Yeah I know, but Cao Cao and Co. laid the foundation - namely holding the Emporer and the capital. I'm hardly an expert on the Three Kingdoms but I attribute Jin's ultimate victory primarily to Cao Cao's hard work.

@tsubasaISfun shu had the most noble general and greats but smallest armies out of the 3 wei had the biggest armies and a fair amount of talent but all were for money probly{exept for cao caos bodygaurd that died for him}. wu had about half of generals important and great and had a pretty big army but i favor shu

It's true, though. Sun Jian and Sun Ce were the only actual "conquerors" of Wu, while Sun Quan spent all his time defending the north and consolidating Wu's power in the southern areas where tribes continued to be a pain in the ass.

@LassesIndex as far as I know (only a modest amount), Sun Jian didn't conquer shit, at least not for himself. Sun Ce used the Imperial Seal to bargain Yuan Shu out of a few thousand troops and proceeded to carve out a home for himself and the family though.

@ThemOldaBoys Well, if badassery is the amount of faces ruined then I guess Sun Jian qualifies as a pussy. His resume is impressive though, what with him catapulting his family from lowly Prefects to running an entire third of China; facing down some of the biggest baddies of the time (a group of pirates mentioned in DW archives but not in gameplay itself; Yellow Turbans; fought Dong Zhuo until he got ambushed). And he found the imperial seal.

...think of it as a more subtle form of badassery.
