Even though I was not born at that time, The doctrine that was left there at that time, is still here in the land today. The light that was Given is still shining today. Some others: Bishop Mckinley Williams, Bishop H.D Jones, Bishop Shelton,Bishop, Lymus Johnson, Bishop Omega, Pastor Gino Jennings. With all this in mind let us not look to these men greater than The LORD JESUS CHRIST. Jesus used & uses thes men to get he message acoss. PTL, First I like to say we thank God for the legacy of Bishop S.C Johnson! A bible Scholar in deed! He was one of the great Preachers of that time which stood for pure Holiness. Let us make mention he was not the only one! Bishop S.C Johnson was consecrated a Bishop By Bishop R.C Lawson the founder Of COOLJC. He later founded COTLJC. After Bishop Johnson left the COOLJC in 1932 because of cotton stockings and women proper dress. We are all sons of Bishop RC Lawson and mainly children of God.

After Samuel Shelton , the only person that followed him at 22nd was Bishop Omega who remains, I was there so I know. Get your facts straight. Jesus lives. He is in Heaven right now! What is amazing to me is that so many people are idolizing a man, and so many people idolized this man. He was a noteworthy Bishop and is to be commended for setting such a standard. However, he is not to be worshipped. People put him up so high, that they can't see God's standard. When you disregard God's word, and go with a man's word, you are in a dangerous situation. I hope people will wake up and realize it. Jesus Christ IS the Son of God right now, and The Word says so!!

@malachii70 There is no Matthew 28:54, so uh, don't know what to say to that one. Acts 13:34 does not reference Jesus not being the son of God. So, that reference does not apply and 1 Corinthians 15:45 does not reference that Jesus is not the son God. Again, I politely ask you for scriptures that say there is no Son of God now. You won't find them, because the scriptures don't contradict themselves, and there are several that state that the son exists right now, and that He is in Heaven.

1981 was the last time I visited the church at 22nd & Bainbridge. Here are a few changes that I am referring to: Are the women now straigtening their hair? Do the women no longer wear cotton stockings or heavy leg coverings? Is Jesus still God Almighty manifested in the flesh? These were some of the teachings taught regulary by Bishop Johnson and Bishop Shelton. You certainly did not ever need to step foot in the church. They brought your church to us nightly.

I consistently attended the apostolic church at

22nd & Bainbridge until 2007.The current admin. has no restrictions on how women should dress. The bible is silent on hair and cotton stockings. It says women should dress modesty. I don't like the way they are dressing now, but current admin. is fine with it. I believe that Jesus is God, and was manifested in the flesh. Don't agree that Jesus is now the Son of God as currently being taught. Bishop Omega hates what the previous Bishops preached.

If there is no Son of God now, then How does the scripture in 1 Timothy which was written well after Jesus died and rose again, still refer to Him as the Man Jesus Christ. Just say you don't understand how this is so and God can work with that, but don't say there is no son of God now because you don't understand how this can be. Stop putting a man's words above God.

I stopped going a lot because I was not learning anything to help me spiritually. He was so negative about the previous bishops and his talks primarily dealt with tearing them down and proving how wrong their doctrine was about everything they preached. He has nothing positive to say about Bishop Johnson or Bishop McDowell Shellton.

Bishop Johnson preached the BIBLE. Though you don't obey it, it will come to pass. He preaches by the conviction of his charge as a man of God. That's your opinion. I know what I was taught. I don't understand so-called Christians engaging in conversation to tear down. This goes against what the Bible teaches. Eph. 4:29 says our mouths should be used to edify. Bishop Shelton preached the truth to me. If you don't agree, then let's agree to disagree.
