  • this would go so well with a glass of French cognac, a nice cigar and some low light in a rather darkish room

  • truly, Im drinkin' vodka, and hearing to this while I have Mechanics class 7:30 am, and linear algebra test... this make think about the little of life...

  • WHO DISLIKED! >:(

  • @XmegaprrX YES! WHO THE FUCK DISLIKED?! THIS CAN BE ONLY YOUTUBE'S BUG!

  • This piece killed Mozart and is the best single piece of music ever created by the work of man! RIP Mozart.

  • Mozart: humano, demasiado humano.

  • Sure Mozart is better than Beiber. But NOT Nickelback! They may was well be called Nickelbach.

  • @smintin dude are you kidding me listen to this music it melts your soul. music like this can only be inspired by god himself. to even have the word Nickelback in the same sentence as Mozart is an insult. Let me put it to you this way what you are listening to was written 220 years ago this year and where still enjoying it today. Nickelback was formed 16 years ago and there already starting to lose popularity they'll be forgotten but this music lives on forever and theres a reason for that.

  • @MUSICALGUNNUT45 Yeah, Mozart may have Nickleback on the choir stuff. I've heard Nickelback's harmonies and while genius, they don't have quite the finesse that Mozart has. But when it comes to an assholeshredding guitar solo, NiKLback totally f'n pwnes Mozzert. MAN! They REALLY know how to POUND out the LICKS BRO!

  • @smintin where do you think rock derived from? Classical music. Without it there would be no chord progressions, or melodic theme at all. EVERY genre existing today derives from classical music.

  • @HardcoreLoominator actually, classical music derived from traditional european music.

  • @MUSICALGUNNUT45 Sure, Mozierts music lives on and on and on and on, but did Moziart write "So ya wanna be a rockstar"? No, Moszart didn't have the genius of N-Back! Could Mozort write an electric guitar solo? No, that's where Nickelback comes in.

  • Comment removed

  • @smintin Sorry, but Nickelbarf should lick Mozart's ass (and I'm sure he does 'cause he surely knows music better than you, otherwise you wouldn't compare), because it's globally and unanimously accepted that the good ol' Mozie did invent the rhythmics and the armonics progressions that later on would bring to the birth of hard rock, metal and many other genres that you (oh! so almighty!) think were just born out of the pure genius of recent or contemporary musicians. But that's bullshit.

  • @smintin The fact that people have played Mozart's music on electric guitars shows you don't have a point other than you like Nickelback and hate everything else. Why watch this if you hate it?

  • @FroggerbobT Sure, they may play Mozart on Electric guitar, but did Mozart ever play Nickelbach on Piano? No, because he was closed minded about Rock music. Name me one song by Mozart where he rocks out like AC/DC. Did he write Highway to Hell? No!

  • @smintin Pro tip: you're a dumbass. Mozart obviously didn't play any Nickelback, nor did he ever play any rock music. Mozart died 204 years before Nickelback started, and 150 years before rock even existed. Its impossible to be close-minded about something that doesn't exist.

  • @smintin Fail trollin dawg. 1/10

  • The beginning of probably the greatest piece of music ever written, even better than Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga combined. Yet out of 50,000+ listeners, there was one nitwit who decided he/she didn't like it!

  • @Phooka83 probably a justin bieber fan :p

  • Perfection.

  • Yea, I can not to listen Maria carey any more!!!

  • Mozart's Requiem is like a litle window to heaven. No other composer can do ït like Mozat; he is simply writing what God dictates him.....sublime!!!! And to think that he only "sketched" the requiem; it was put together by experts in Mozart some 100 years aftre his death...isint that amazing??

  • It started raining outside as I watched this..haha i'm serious

  • Dang.

  • Brilliant, however is such a slow rendition of the requiem :)

  • @Tahuzilla How can you find it too long? I wished it never ended...

  • WTF, how could 1 person dont like this, i hope mozarts ghost follow him

  • what twat disliked this

  • who is one don't loke this : IMPOSSIBLE it's a mistake GREAT MISTAKE!!!

  • @camafrik

I have absolutely no idea what you just said :P

  • Concordo plenamente. Mozart é eterno, modismos vão passar, mas Mozart nunca!

  • Thanks for sharing

  • It looks like there's a lost soul out there that prefers Maria Carey!

Or maybe she (herself) pressed the dislike button!

  • where can i download this? its brilliant!

  • who the fuck is maria carey??? and who cares, this is FRIGGING MOZART

  • The # of dislikes is so low I can't even see the red part of the bar :D

  • great version, thanks.

  • @ COCOONFABULA

How can someone listen to this, after having listened to Maria Carey (and the like) for too long !

  • i think the only musician better than mozart would probably be chuck norris.

  • music stops here, it dosen't get any better. i strongly belive this.

  • @pinkpussy2007 though i didn't stop, beethoven followed :)

  • @pinkpussy2007 though iT didn't stop, beethoven followed :)

  • mozart forgive ur assesin

  • I can see it I can see the Gates of Heaven

  • best cast and best interpretation. You will always compare other renditions to this one. Get this in high quality audio and blast it in your living room.

  • überirdisch

  • jus sayin, a one minute barrier between start and the music is a horrible idea >.>

  • Wow! Isn't the beauty stunning. How it takes us away. Thank you very, very much heildirgunther. And consider the tempo of this performance. What a difference it makes when the tempo is so deliberate, thoughtful. Just wonderful. Thank you again. Most appreciated!

  • @dobba92 He didn't really have a choice because if he was not he would be killed.

  • If mankind were ever represented by one thing and one thing only, it should be this song and this interpretation.

  • @leftyfourguns And then those who we respresented ourselves like this to comes and sees all the dumb uneducated rappers and rockstars they will want to kill us.

  • Da brividi... meraviglioso. Una delle più belle esecuzioni mai eseguite

  • Hey!, don´t compare please. Maria Carey isn´t bad, she is good at her way. But Mozart not only was good, he was awesome. Can´t compare, they´re diferents. Compare is injust.

  • kyrie eleison...WOW

  • Karl Bohm conducted like the doctor of laws that he was originally. He conducted like he was presenting an argument, meticulously and with perfect tempo, every point in its place and used to good effect to overwhelm and persuade.

  • @tkwtg without no doubt this was one the best argument I ever heard

  • To describe His music, there are no words... My soul is naked, defenseless against it.

  • Breathtaking!! Thank you Herr Casanova for posting this marvelous recording!

  • I have looked everywhere for a recording of the Requiem in the proper Germanic Latin, as Mozart intended it to be...this is perfect! The only way to sing the piece.

  • WOW!!, Wow. I´m stunned. I´m crying..So fantastic..

  • This is gangsta. Been trying to find a recording of Requim such as this for a while. Will save to favorites. Can't wait to have a quailty sound system for the computer so I can turn it up while studying

  • I am beyond grateful that you've posted these magnificent videos. You've done a great service to the world by giving so many access to this glorious music. You have my most sincere gratitude.

Gracias, muchas gracias.... ZoeJ.

  • Only 83 likes?

  • the best performance I've ever heard here on youtube!!!!!!!!

  • no words for this, i'm speechless..incredible how gifted Mozart was in order to create such masterpieces, he was born with the gift, a heavenly gift since he was a little child and how paradogical it is that his last masterpiece resulted to be his own Requiem, for himself, for his journey and to all of us a remembering masterpiece to eternity of his name!!!

  • @nikitaxs1 I thought u were speechless :P just kidding hehe

  • who the f*&# pressed dislike?!?

  • When the music industry today collapses because noone will buy their mass produced noise. I hope that people start learning what true music is about.

  • i love Lacrymosa and Dies Irae.... so intensive....

  • Epic masterpiece.

  • Some people told me THIS masterpiece of Mozart is also heard in "requiem for a dream"By Clint Mansell.

I must admit I like both. Classical and Modern. Maybe Modern is not the good word because Classical is and stay forever, but you got the point ;)

  • It is a path of music to feel the existence of supreme being who is within us. OH!

MOZART YOU ARE AN ARTIST OF THE ARTISTS.

  • Grandios, massstabsetzend.

  • good music man, congratulations!!!

  • Hmmm actually for me the best piece ever written is Scriabin's "Vers la flamme" =P

Anyway for the M. Carey thing I'm way too... harsh... you're much more tolerant xD

  • The best recording! EVER!

  • Mozart beats them all in every way.

  • epic

  • Magnificient

  • popular*

  • it's so beautiful, i dont know why u dont watch/listen to this, instead of the today's populas musics... thank you for uploading this Masterpiece.

  • How can someone like music like Maria Carey's after listening to this !

  • @COCOONFABULA

I like very much Mozart, especially the requiem , but I also think that Mariah Carey is a great singer and has a unique voice. She is among the best female singers. I don't think is fair to underestimate her.

  • @nihilsacrum I'm very close minded when it comes to compare classical music to nowadays music, though I reckon you think the way everyone should think but I just can't ^^'

  • @COCOONFABULA Culture changes over time.

Music of the Roman Empire for one was very different to music of the renaissance, as that was different to music of this last classical, as that is different to today's music.

  • @ranma763 What was the music of the Roman Empire like?

  • @COCOONFABULA

so your saying that jimi hendrix's performance at Woodstock 69 has absolutely no musical substance whatsoever? radioheads 2003 glastonbury gig? any song john lennon wrote? what im trying to say is that you cant metaphorically boycott all modern music in your head JUST because mozart was a genius. thats like not accepting any scientific discovery in the last century JUST because charles darwin was a scientific genius.

  • @COCOONFABULA I don't even know the person you've just named. But in my school, it would probably turn out the opposite way. "Mozart? Who is Mozart?", they say (this is sadly true, REAL music is dead, the new enerations grow up with BS)

  • @COCOONFABULA , those who watch maria cary, madona(pre-historic) new sluts, etc, do not know music. they like sexual stimulation that is programmed in their DNA to like endorphin caused by sexual act. you can not blame them. they are programmed to act like that, drones driven by programs written by nature for keeping the human race population continue. Same as you and me, we are programming our brain neurons to LIKE Mozart etc. not blaming any one. all do as best as they can

  • @COCOONFABULA Man what the hell.... Not that I like maria Carey's music, but what gives you the right to say this everyone is allowed to like the music they want to rgiht???!!! and all you 40 basterds that voted this up: don tu think if someone would post something on classical music like you have done to rnb music, you would feel offended??!!! you guys should considder other kinds of music and let people live and break away from your general views of music!!!

  • @Cheesebtrz okay you got it all wrong -___-

  • @COCOONFABULA tell me how...... (btw I love mozart) but I dont like your point at all!

  • @COCOONFABULA but mariah has got influenced by mozart, dont u know it?

  • @COCOONFABULA

It sounds elitist/arrogant to dismiss R&B or anything that's not classical/baroque etc. Don't be surprised if Mariah herself delivers a brilliant operatic album one day.

I used to think like you - But music helps diverse people connect... don't underestimate that - even if Mariah, Madonna, the Jacksons etc. may not be your favorite thing.... if their songs help you understand your daughter/neice etc better, give it a try....I love Mozart - but I play sports to diff. music

  • @COCOONFABULA Cocaine is a hell of a drug..lol

  • @COCOONFABULA excuse me but; Mariah Carey has the greatest voice ever known - and i`m sure she knows it is a great gift given to her just like Mozart`s gift of music given to him so i would actually say those 2 particular are very similar musically and if they were both alive at the same time, they would respect and agree with what i`ve just said. I`m really certain Mozart would agree with this, please listen to "mariah carey live" on youtube to double check - her voice is AMAZING.

  • @caddencadden Let's not get carried away Mariah has a very nice voice, but COME ON! SHe is far from the greatest voice ever known. Let's be serious.

  • @caddencadden Yes, she has an amazing voice with a very wide range, but to say she is the best is a matter of opinion, not fact.

  • @caddencadden whoa.....lets not get carried away here. carey and mozart are incomparable. mozart is a genius of musicality. to say that mariah carey is comparable is fallacious.

  • @caddencadden Carey doesn't even have the best voice of her generation, or style. Classical/opera vocalists own her in every way. In her particular style, Witney Houston had a much stronger voice, especially in the lows, before she destroyed it with drugs. Mozart's music is 300 years old. No one will remember Carey 300 years from now... Or even 50.

  • @nakedgunmusic who is carey?

  • @COCOONFABULA or mariah carey even/
