I live smack on top of a 1000ft mountain in wales, and we never get any sodding snow! we had a ruddy good hailstorm mind. it was like the sky had a fit with a bb gun on my house. some of the hailstones were golfball sized. The reason there's snow on Easter is that it has been placed too early on the calendar by (essentially) the Catholic Church.

Easter should be AFTER Passover (Passover WAS the Last Supper) So Easter should be on April 27 - which is what is celebrated by the Eastern Orthodox faith. (Just an observation)
