It has a pneumatic lift system instead of the traditional chain lift.  That's why it goes up so fast.

@rfgstl Actually it's not pneumatic it's a cable lift, not a chain. Cables are lighter than chains, so that's the main reason it can go up so much faster.

Road it yesterday, its nasty, if ur not afraid of blacking out or getting tunnel vision its a must ride....anytime u come off a ride and everyone is shaking and trying to get their vision back thats a great ride

@f5rollercoasters: Personally, I think the black-outs/gray-outs were one of the best parts of the ride!

Shows it's intensity.

It's all about preference, I guess. :)

@Romeighla I'm a die hard Cedar Point fan and when everyone said this is better than Millennium Force, It just makes me want to drive the 7 hours to Kings Dominion to ride it.  I want to experience this 'blackout/grayout'. Do you think it is worth the trip from Northeast Ohio?

Second of all, Intimidator305 also has bigger drops throughout the ride.

Having experiences from both coasters, I can honestly and proudly say- Intimidator305 was better. =)

it looks like a cross between MF and Maverick because you have the big drop at the beginning and the you have the the sharp over-banked turnes after but i've never been on Intimidator305 but i've ridden maverick and Millenium Force.

Okay, the OTSR's is okay. Lap bars would have been better, but I see why they use them. But my problem is why in the hell did they have to put seat-belts on it.

@DMCoasters I dont think they'll change much of the ride experience having seat-belts, im just excited just from the sheer intensity of this thing! :D I'm going this summer to ride this :)
