Mine did not come with an SD card because Velocity Micro's Amazon seller didn't bother mentioning somewhere amongst all those pretty storefront graphics and praise for the product that there are in fact two different gigabyte versions of this device and that they were selling the 2 gb version not the 4 gb version. The 2 gb version does not come with an SD card. Only the 4 gb one does. I was happy that I already had a 16 gb SD card left from when I owned Velocity Cruz's eReader (R101) tablet.

Plus the apps to download for the Cruz is not compatible, it cant even download angry birds, and the loading speed is INCREDIBLY slow. I advise Pandigital products, cheap, and much faster also reliable. Trust me on this, I own one and it has even failed me.

This tablet actually is a disapointment, I mean the looks and features.look pretty cool and all, but when a friend of mine had it for a week it froze. Screen wont do a darn thing, and he tried to fix it the best eay. This isnt the first Ive heard of this, its happened to alot of owners. You guys should get the Pandigital Star, it works so much better with the same price as the Cruz.

My wife bought me one for Christmas and I've never been more frustrated. It's extremely slow running basic functions, no real app store per se. Most of the apps aren't compatible. Stay away from it if you value your sanity. Only good use if for going on the web.

On mine in the right hand corner there is something that looks like a camera. It is NOT a light. I know it's not because I'll go to "Gallery" and it'll have that little button at the top that has a list of things you can do? And it'll say "Capture Photo" or "Capture Video" but whenever I press either, it doesn't do anything. I'm annoyed and upset, because it's one of the reasons I wanted this damn thing. This is the only one my parents will buy me, as well. Help please.

we just bought this for my son for christmas. we are having a problem loading the update onto the SD card that came with it. i have done everything it says to do, but none of my computers recognize the SD card and when i try to load the update onto the root of the card, it says update path does not exist..how do i get the latest update,android 2.2 loaded on it.

An Android 2.2 upgrade is available from Velocity's website. You can download the Kindle app and actually this device does support epub format. The dual core processor really helps with browsing. But I am lead to believe the browsing experience is fast only because this tablet doesn't support Adobe Flash. If only it had flash support then it would have been a consideration in my tablet buying search.

i am a owner of a micro velocity cruz reader and, yes i love it it meets all my needs for a e-reader. but i have several problems with it, the back pops off offten and you have to press down on the screen really hard to move it. verry often i have trouble getting wifi to conect with it and some times i have to reset it. some times it will turn off for no reason no matter what im doing and it wont come back on for a cuple of days. When ever im whatching a video the picture is not clear.

Good luck to all those who ever install the wrong firmware that the unit will allow you to do (In error) and not stop this from happening. Read every note on their site before you install any update or your screwed!! also one thing I find dumb, why would they make the firmware update installer the same name for the different units anyway? Simply called "Update".

I got this as a fathers day present and I think is awesome the most surprising thing was when I found out the price. You really get a bang for your buck with this tablet, it's no iPad but if you want to surf the web, enjoy multimedia and do the basic stuff I highly recommend it.

When it's laying down, it looks wide screen, until you showed the accelerometer functionality, I like that it has capacitive but... I'm still leaning towards the Coby Kyros MID7015, despite the lack of a capacitive touch screen.
