It is a demographic FACT. Why is it we focus on the race issue and not the cost issue. The federal government mandating a increase in Medicaid that we cost his state a billion dollars. There is a higher percentage of black on Medicaid that whites. It is a fact. It is not the best way to say it, but it is a fact, none the less.
as of 08 there are 367,800 white people in SC below the poverty line presumably on Medicaid as of 08 there are 418,000 black people below the poverty line in SC presumably on Medicaid the difference is negligible(50,200) when calculating the cost of of the state to provide money for healthcare that is a Demographic FACT there is no basis for him to suggest that the Billion dollar cost has mostly do with the fact that there are so many Black people, notice he did not even say "poor black people"

They first asked what party they belonged to, if they would ever vote Republican, and if they would vote for Obama. Many that answered Democrat said they would never vote Republican. However, when asked if they would vote for Obama, they changed their tune. Straight out racist if you ask me.

the people in his state didn't want "grahamnesty" for illegals, or the bailout, or sotomayor (graham was the only repub in committee to vote for sotomayor). maybe that doesn't mean he's not a repub, but that does make him useless and worthless.

The irony is that poor people spend practically every dime they have to just stay alive, so subsidizing them is basically the same as subsidizing corporations. But, again, we cant do that because the poor are evil and deserve to be miserable, or so goes the GOP ideology. GOPs biggest fear is collateral betterment, the idea that some who dont deserve it might see an improvement in their lives. While the GOP has no qualms with collateral damage (innocent people dying in a predator drone attack, for example), nothing burns their ass more than the galling possibility of a lazy poor person getting something for nothing. Lazy rich people, fine. Just not lazy poor people.

So they live in poor neighborhoods where the schools are bad and their children don't get a good education. There's a reason they don't want to help poor people. Poor people get smart and get good jobs and they'll know enough to vote the racists out.

It is a demographic FACT. Why is it we focus on the race issue and not the cost issue. The federal government mandating a increase in Medicaid that we cost his state a billion dollars. There is a higher percentage of black on Medicaid that whites. It is a fact. It is not the best way to say it, but it is a fact, none the less.

as of 08 there are 367,800 white people in SC below the poverty line presumably on Medicaid as of 08 there are 418,000 black people below the poverty line in SC presumably on Medicaid the difference is negligible(50,200) when calculating the cost of of the state to provide money for healthcare that is a Demographic FACT there is no basis for him to suggest that the Billion dollar cost has mostly do with the fact that there are so many Black people, notice he did not even say "poor black people"

As a percentage of the TOTAL population, look at the number of black people vs. white people on Medicaid. He was not being racist by pointing out that this NEW expansion of Medicaid was going to cost HIS state a billion and the state of Nebraska $0. It was a poor way of making his point, but it was not racist.
