WOW...it all makes sense! IN twilight princess ganon was sealed away as well, but un the twilight realm. The twilight realm links to the sacred realm since the three pieces of the magic mirror were shattered, relating it to the triforce. The twilight realm was the exact opposite of the sacred yet it was begining to converge on the real world. So if ganon could get to the twilight realm he could get to hyrule!!! Minish cap and Four swords should be linked cuz they got Vatai. Other than that i agree so much with you. Especially the Oracles series. They were placed in the same time, but they couldn't be on the same time line so each one is on a different. Awesome! =]
TP is at the end of Hyrule A because at the end of TP Ganon dies for ever, his triforce disaperse which means he will never come back in the timeline, he is dead. Now Nintendo is continuing Hyrule B
This goes to all of you that say that there is a statue of Ganon with a sword stuck in his head in Minish Cap... That's not true, there is no statue of such in Minish Cap. If I am wrong please tell me exactly where this supposed statue is, because I have beaten the game a few times and do not remember any statue showing such.

MM/LA/LoZ is just flat out wrong. It says in the instructions Link was told the story of Ganon and Zelda by Impa. How is there a new Zelda and Impa that Link is unfamiliar with all of the sudden? Also it makes no sense that Link forgets everything about the Triforce in AoL.
I know this is outdated, but even back then you have no excuse for flaws like this.
This explains a lot but they missed a couple of games. Also it kinda saddens me that all the characters may not be the same person. It seems cheap to me.

1)Ganondorf was born of the Gerudo people, hence the title King of Thieves. Ganon was a demon currupt with the urge for power. at the end of OoT Ganondorf had turned himself into the demon which ganondorf resurrected by using himself as the host for it.
2): the four swords link is the same link as MC. The 4swords is actually the picori sword(hence why at the end of MC you had the power to slit in 4)
I always assumed that Link in ALttP was the one that hid the Tri. of Courage in the Great Palace, then wrote the scroll in Hylian that is mentioned in the AoL manual.
Another fact that doesn't have sense: When Ganondorf was going to be imprisioned in the Twilight Realm he already had the Triforce of Power, where could he get it from if he couldn't get the chance to get it, as he was stopped in the child timeline?

twilight princess goes in to hyrule B because the history in the game says that ganon was sealed by sages in twilight zone and uses Zant's (the villin) power come back in to the world

What if the moon getting close caused the flood? This would also explain why the Hero's shield exists in Majora's Mask and Windwaker (but not why they look completely different). This fucks up the split time line theory though.
Wait. How can Twilight Princess take place in between Ocarina o' Time and Wind Waker?! The whole reason Hyrule was flooded was because when Ganon returned, there was no Link to fight him. If Twilght Princess took place there, then Wind Waker wouldn't have happened.
Actually I changed my mind. It could take place there because it's probably a new Link altogether. Once he defeated Ganon, then for whatever reason he left after TP, then Ganon returned and Hyrule was flooded because Link left and couldn't fight Ganon. That's what I think hapened, but the next zelda Wii game could fuck up this theory.
Twilight Princess isn't before Wind Waker. TP's backstory states that in "Hyrule A", Link and Zelda inform the King of Ganondorf's plans, and he is sentenced to death at Arbiter's Grounds. This is when he breaks free and kills the sage of water, forcing the other sages to seal him in the Twilight realm, a place inhabited by descendants of the evil dark interlopers banished there many generations earlier by the spirits of light in TP (the animals from the springs) =D
Twilight Princess is how Ganondorf escapes the prison he was kept in that he went to in Orcarina of time in Hyrule B. When Ganon dies in Twilight Princess, another male Gerudo was born those hundren years later. He follows Ganon's steps and named himself or someone name him after Ganon.
My timeline is first Ocarina of Time then young link Majora's Mask then 100 years later windwaker then phantom hourglass but after ocarina of time is twilight princess from adult link then legend of zelda then zelda 2 then oracles then but before windwaker is minish cap then four swords then four swords adventure and THEN after Phantom Hourglass, a link to the past not sure where link's awakening fits in cuz i didnt play it
The problem with minish cap being the first is that moblins are in the game, which are the pig-soldiers ganon created in his image. Ganon is not in the game, so having the moblins wouldn't make much sense. However, according to Four Sword's Adventures Wikipedia page, Vaati "furthered his [Ganon's] plans by creating monsters to add to his army," which might suggest that Vaati is able to create moblins (as though his has known about Ganon all along...hmm).
I think this theory is right. Twilight Princess does fit into that line because every one hundred years a male in the Gerudo tribe is born. So the Ganon in the Wind Waker is a different Ganon because Ganon died in Twilight Princess.
hmm it all makes sense but in twilight if you notice a skull warrior teaches link some fighting styles which means that in twilight link in the beggining doesnt have experience with a sword and its after the ocarina of time.

Ok here's what happens. Link gives Zelda the ocarina in the future. She then sends him back to before the game began. This results in two of everything existing, two Master swords, two Zeldas, and two Ocarinas.
also i just remembered that in zelda2 the adv of link the towns are named after the sages in the adult timeline so the first two games must take place in hyrule B after the great sea is drained and the land is restored
I have always been a split timeline supporter and i agree with most of the order except for a few games after the split hyrule A has majora's mask then Twilight Princess and hyrule B has of course Wind Waker so hyrule A has most of the games in the series telling that timeline's story but untill nintendo confirms this it will still be just a theory

#2: A link to the Past, Link's Awakening
#3: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks

You see, with A Link to the Past they started over, retold the original LoZ story, made it more complex and epic. OoT then retold ALttP, and Twilight Princess retold the classic tale yet again, taking themes and ideas from ALttP, OoT and WW.
The capcom games don't count. I'm not saying they aren't fun games, but Capcom didn't know what they were doing as far as fitting them in with the timeline of other Zelda games.

I don't think that OoA/S play in two different dimensions or timelines, just in two different lands, Holdrum and Labyrnna. The player decides which goes first. The backgrounds are just dramatization, or Link travels TWICE to Hyrule castle from different sides, once from the forest and the from the other side out of the land he saved in the opposing game.

I noticed something. in majora's mask, it shows a flashback to zelda giving link from the future the ocarina. this means that she does not have the ocarina and cannot give it to link of the present. this link cannot proceed to enter the temple of time and ganon never unleashes his evil plan. this link never appears or crosses paths with link from the future. wouldn't he ever try to stop any of the impending evils that appear in that timeline?
but heres the thing... if minish caps pikiri sword has a blue hilt then its NOT the master sword since the master sword has a green hilt, i havent noticed anything yet however

AAAANNNNDDD if you notice the Howl Stones in TP (lol T.P. is toilet paper) have songs from previous Zelda games which means it was already written and recorded/remembered, Song of Healing ect.

Another thing, WW and MM can't go on separate timelines because The King of Red Lions told the Hero of Winds about the journey the Hero of Time embarked on after defeating Ganon. So, how could the King of Red Lions know about something that never happened in their timeline? Well, he couldn't.
The creators said they care more about improving the experience of the game than how the storyline links together. However, this doesn't mean they don't have one. Based on the comments by Miyamoto and Aonuma that I've read, the timeline is:
MM:WW:PH:MC:FS:FSA:OA
OT<
TP:LP:LZ:AL:LA:OS
So, it is split and; yes, it does exist. Aonuma has even said that they have a "huge document" that details how the stories link together. I was one that made up a single timeline, but that is no longer the case.
Hasnt anyone ever considered that there isnt really a timeline linking ALL the games? Fair enough, Ocarina of Time could link to MM/WW if you thought about it enough, and some ore obvious sequels (WW-PHG), but the series is called The LEGEND of Zelda. LEGENDs are stories retold again and again in different ways, often linked only by elements - in this case, A hero, A princess and a baddie (Usually Gannon). Much like the legends of King Arthur- same stories told in many different ways!

these seeds connect and form a new Hyrule together. The new Hyrule will have space for train tracks. If you watched the trailer of ST, you must have seen Link kneeling for Zelda. This must mean that this is a new Link, because... Do you think the WW Link will kneel for Tetra? So maybe they Ship Wracked (LA)? But well, I know its just what YOU think about, but I wanted to give my opinion. But you really are right about alot of things. Since it isn't proven what the correct time line is: 5/5!

...clearly see that they are sequels. TP should be placed in Hyrule A, as long as you believe the theory that says that the stalfos hero (Shade) is the OoT/MM/Z1/AoL(/FSA/LttP). After he did all this, he entered the lost woods and never came out, and so became a stalfos. I think that after MC, FSA comes. They don't know GanonDORF in OoT, because he only appeared in MC as Ganon, the beast form. This directly deals with Vati, who doesn't come later in the serie. This only aplays if FSA has been released after the statement of Myamoto. And I also don't know why LttP must come after FSA. Could someone explain that to me? Here's my timeline
Hyrule A: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, A Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages/of Seasons, Link's Awakening, The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, Twilight Princess (many years later and a new Link), the upcoming Zelda Wii game.
Hyrule B: Ocarina of Time, The Minish Cap, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, The Wind Waker (many years later and a new Toon Link), Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks

What if the moon getting close caused the flood? This would also explain why the Hero's shield exists in Majora's Mask and Windwaker (but not why they look completely different). This fucks up the split time line theory though.

Wait. How can Twilight Princess take place in between Ocarina o' Time and Wind Waker?! The whole reason Hyrule was flooded was because when Ganon returned, there was no Link to fight him. If Twilght Princess took place there, then Wind Waker wouldn't have happened.

Actually I changed my mind. It could take place there because it's probably a new Link altogether. Once he defeated Ganon, then for whatever reason he left after TP, then Ganon returned and Hyrule was flooded because Link left and couldn't fight Ganon. That's what I think hapened, but the next zelda Wii game could fuck up this theory.

Twilight Princess isn't before Wind Waker. TP's backstory states that in "Hyrule A", Link and Zelda inform the King of Ganondorf's plans, and he is sentenced to death at Arbiter's Grounds. This is when he breaks free and kills the sage of water, forcing the other sages to seal him in the Twilight realm, a place inhabited by descendants of the evil dark interlopers banished there many generations earlier by the spirits of light in TP (the animals from the springs) =D

Twilight Princess is how Ganondorf escapes the prison he was kept in that he went to in Orcarina of time in Hyrule B. When Ganon dies in Twilight Princess, another male Gerudo was born those hundren years later. He follows Ganon's steps and named himself or someone name him after Ganon.

The problem with minish cap being the first is that moblins are in the game, which are the pig-soldiers ganon created in his image. Ganon is not in the game, so having the moblins wouldn't make much sense. However, according to Four Sword's Adventures Wikipedia page, Vaati "furthered his [Ganon's] plans by creating monsters to add to his army," which might suggest that Vaati is able to create moblins (as though his has known about Ganon all along...hmm).

I think this theory is right. Twilight Princess does fit into that line because every one hundred years a male in the Gerudo tribe is born. So the Ganon in the Wind Waker is a different Ganon because Ganon died in Twilight Princess.

hmm it all makes sense but in twilight if you notice a skull warrior teaches link some fighting styles which means that in twilight link in the beggining doesnt have experience with a sword and its after the ocarina of time.

Ok here's what happens. Link gives Zelda the ocarina in the future. She then sends him back to before the game began. This results in two of everything existing, two Master swords, two Zeldas, and two Ocarinas.

I have always been a split timeline supporter and i agree with most of the order except for a few games after the split hyrule A has majora's mask then Twilight Princess and hyrule B has of course Wind Waker so hyrule A has most of the games in the series telling that timeline's story but untill nintendo confirms this it will still be just a theory

#1: The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
#2: A link to the Past, Link's Awakening
#3: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks
#4: Twilight Princess (the best one!)
You see, with A Link to the Past they started over, retold the original LoZ story, made it more complex and epic. OoT then retold ALttP, and Twilight Princess retold the classic tale yet again, taking themes and ideas from ALttP, OoT and WW.

I don't think that OoA/S play in two different dimensions or timelines, just in two different lands, Holdrum and Labyrnna. The player decides which goes first. The backgrounds are just dramatization, or Link travels TWICE to Hyrule castle from different sides, once from the forest and the from the other side out of the land he saved in the opposing game.

I noticed something. in majora's mask, it shows a flashback to zelda giving link from the future the ocarina. this means that she does not have the ocarina and cannot give it to link of the present. this link cannot proceed to enter the temple of time and ganon never unleashes his evil plan. this link never appears or crosses paths with link from the future. wouldn't he ever try to stop any of the impending evils that appear in that timeline?

The creators said they care more about improving the experience of the game than how the storyline links together. However, this doesn't mean they don't have one. Based on the comments by Miyamoto and Aonuma that I've read, the timeline is:
MM:WW:PH:MC:FS:FSA:OA
OT<
TP:LP:LZ:AL:LA:OS
So, it is split and; yes, it does exist. Aonuma has even said that they have a "huge document" that details how the stories link together. I was one that made up a single timeline, but that is no longer the case.

Hasnt anyone ever considered that there isnt really a timeline linking ALL the games? Fair enough, Ocarina of Time could link to MM/WW if you thought about it enough, and some ore obvious sequels (WW-PHG), but the series is called The LEGEND of Zelda. LEGENDs are stories retold again and again in different ways, often linked only by elements - in this case, A hero, A princess and a baddie (Usually Gannon). Much like the legends of King Arthur- same stories told in many different ways!
