awesome song. you are an amazing musician dude. i'm especially a huge fan of metroid metal. great games and your interpretation of their music is outstanding.
lol im 14 going on 15 and im trying to make a song. This song that you made, the beggining sounds like Three Evils by Coheed and Cambria. i always wanted to make a song like that
love your music dude. Your a great musician also. I would buy your album if it was in stores but ima wait before i get it on itunes. nice song By the way
That's the drums from the song on the record. I was able to pull them out for this playthrough. Thought might make sense to just have drums and guitar. :)
I love that album... Thanks you guys, you made me grow up, really, thanks to Stemage gates opened for me in different music areas and that made me really happy :)
OMG, here is the same ^_^ Metriod metal introoduced me to Metal music and to Stemage. I bought the CD, loved it. Fabulous Fabulist from stemage then introduced me to screamo bands and the rest of the tracks to progressive rock/metal music :D
I'm surprised this is in standard tuning, haha. I've been trying to follow along thinking it was in drop D, and was confused by how he was playing the power chords.
Kamen0 made an awesome cover of this in drop D actually, so I guess it doesn't make that big of a difference.
Love you man, you rock out loud. I need to get a hold of your CD again (My first copy got stolen along with my whole Soundgarden collection, Black Sabbath, Franz Ferdinand, and other stuffs... )
Dude, I used to listen to your CD just for nostalgia, because it reminded me of the summer when I bought it, which was filled with good times, and often with the CD playing, but now I just listen for the pure awesomeness. =] =] =] =] =]
I got it after that. I remember seeing the advertisements that it was on iTunes, and wishing I had iTunes just so I could get the album. But I ordered it and got it in the mail.
I wish I had done that... I like having the physical copy of albums so I can look at the artwork and liner notes and everything, but I didn't feel like bothering my dad for his paypal account...
I do like to watch you play that thar gwee-tar, sir. I especially like it when you move your hand up and down the frets really quickly such that your hand is just a blur for a half second. It's kind of like watching Bruce Lee fight except instead it's, you know, you playing guitar. I guess what i'm getting at is that you, sir, are the Bruce Lee of Rock n' Roll.
By the look of them, Carvin DC127 stock pickups. That's his guitar. A high quality, worth the money DC127. His amp is a Peavey Delta Blues. I think 115, I don't recall. =] Peavey amps are absolutely unbeatable. The Delta Blues and Valveking are my two all time favorite amps.
Can you really get this kind of tone out of a blues amp? I've seen a couple other youtube videos with the peavey delta blues and it seemed to sound completely different from what Stemage uses. And he told me he's not using pedals.
If I ever get the chance I'd love to try the amp out.
Hahah, sweet. Glad you enjoyed it! So far it's still the only cool thing I've recorded. Some of my youtube vids aren't too bad...but I'm still a hack when it comes to acoustic guitar.
your great man i lov your metroid songs

This song sounds like it's really fun to play. Should I take the time to try and learn this monster riffage?

is there any chance of a tab book for all the metroid songs you have covered?

Is it Anosmium of Ansomium? 'Cause half the internet says one and the other half says the other. I get confused by the name.
Slah606 2 years ago 6
It's Anosmium. It's a play on Anosmia, which means the inability to smell.
Stemage 2 years ago
@Slah606 It's Anosmium. Anosmia is the inability to smell. Anosmium is the state of having no sense of smell. You're welcome 2 years later. ;)

Easily my favorite band on Silent Uproar Records. How is the name pronounced. Like Steam-ag. Or like Stem-Age?

Thank you!! It's Stem'-edge - like garbage. ;)

Yes, likewise.. I got into metal by his Metroid-convert songs, which lead the way to the Goth, Progressive, and Screamo songs I now listen to.
