HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH­HHHHHHHHERB! This is insane. Only *some* Americans pronounce herb with a "silent" H. It is NOT a recognised English pronunciation. Silent H is part of regional American dialectical pronunciation. You certainly wouldn't find it described in this manner in a phonetic dictionary.

its might just be me, but i seems retarded to spell a word then remove letters in it to pronounce another way. Silent letters make zero cents.
