How to Create loopable wallpapers for Nokia N900

Im pretty sure i done it the same, but the image set doesnt come up, just 4 images seperate.

Sir i'm using windows vista.. using it's notepad, i can't create .desktop file. Yes! it saves at .desktop file but after i copied the code. save it to .desktop then transferred it to my nokia n900. That file is not appeared to my n900. Please help me for that. thanks

I get up to the part where i need to transfer the 5 files, and they transfer but the 4 images don't come up as an image set in the 'Change Background' menu. I've done EVERYTHING right, to the letter...no errors, no typos, i have no idea what's going on...these guys below me also seem just as lost...

my device doesn't recognize the txt file, and I saved it as .anytitle.desktop with a period in the beginning and after anytitle and no it doesn not have a .txt. suffix :) anyway it doesn't say image set :(

hope this helps. after making the text file in notepad, DO NOT save it as a text file. In the Save As type, select All Files. it will save with the .desktop extension.

Same issue as others - text file, pics, everything is perfect, but phone doesn't recognize the text file, so I end up having to add each pic, one by one.

it didnt work for me it show the name but when I selete it it doesnt show the pic btw I put 16GB micro sd card on my N900 and it work first day and now its not working.. I try all the method on google and maemo site.. it doesnt work... do you have any idea why is this happen..??

I had to add each image one by one on each desktop ..

You don't need to use this method...

Just split any picture into 4 pieces, transfer those to your phone and then put those on by to each wallpaper (in the right order ofcourse) you don't need to do anything for the size of the images!

How to make a .desktop file:

1. Open MS notepad

2. Write the code

3. File->Save as

4. Save as type->All files

5. Name it *******.desktop

Done! It should appear as a .desktop file.
