@Starfatal The horrid graphics made LSD terrifying. Changing it would just make the game some weird exploration game. The bad graphics made everything obscure, and ultimately chaotic feeling. It's that feeling, not the imagery that scares most about the game.

It's kinda strange when you consider that it was based off some guys dream journal though. You're right the game kinda just leaves your mind to fill in the blanks or if you keep a dream journal yourself you could actually relate to the strange shit you see in this game and that could be a bit scary.
