This song was from the 1966 movie "A Man Could Get Killed". Set in Portugal, it's a comedy-adventure about smuggled diamonds and an average guy mistaken for a spy. James Garner and Melina Mercouri are the 'strangers in the night' who meet at her apartment in Lisbon. She tells him why spies are after him and tries to protect him from getting killed when he leaves; but as the song says, "something in your eyes, something in my heart..." Track down a DVD if you can; not easy, but it can be done.
This isn't 'old-time' music. This is REAL music - not the kind of garbage that comes and goes again after five minutes. This stuff has been around for more than five decades and thaks to Youtube and people like TheOIldRecordClub who take the trouble to download it, it will be around forever.. There are a few good artists still out there whose music will stand the test of time (John Lennon etc)n but they are very few and far between.
it is so amazing how in the 60s and the 70s and early 80s so many people where totally affraid of this worm and the mention of his name either got you in or said anything wrong you was gone from vegas the white hose or like that poor horses have your head cut off and left in a bed like he had done in the godfather movie that was his crew did that because baby sinatra want to be in from here to eternity shame how afrraid we become
@XristineL22 - Now every time I'll listen to this song I'll remember your grandfather even though I've never had the chance to meet him. That's quite an impressive thought considering I'm thousands of miles away holding a glass of wine in my hand and this one goes to your grandfather. Merry Christmas Christina.
@XristineL22 Yes! No dislikes. This is another classic I've listened to today (Oh, what a day). Truly a great tune, sung by one of the very best singers of our time. Above, it says "no discription available" No discription is needed. And yes, big ups to TheOldrecordclub for uploadin' it. Thank you.
@FXIX yeah i agree with you, only people who like good old classics like this one would bother to watch it,thanks for your comment and have a nice evening. Carl
We always play this song when we are decorating our christmas tree. It brings back long warm cozy night with the love of my love. Dobedobedo. Greetings.

@crazyromanian1 Ha,yeah he did,and when you look at the photos uploaded of him on the internet,he does seem to be wearing hats in a lot of them.thanks for watching, Carl
@TheOldrecordclub Yeah, They called Frank "Blue Eyes" , I think they should have called Nancy "Sexy Eyes". She had a voice that was a good fit for the pop music of the time. In my opinion the talented one was Frank Jr., who in his younger day had a nice strong baritone voice. He was also a pretty good band leader.
@17castilho yeah this song is a classic and has got to be up there as one of the all time best known songs around.many thanks for watching. Carl, and yeah i used "Google translate" lol
@MissSpring77 Hi april, glad you liked this one by "Frank Sinatra" i hope to upload a few more by him in time as he was such a big star and a very popular entertainer.i hope you have had a great day and many thanks for watching. CARL

CARL
@PASSIONMAN47 "WOW" i'm well impressed, Elvis never did come to England apart from once when he was changing flights at an airport. hi Carl, unlike the music we have today , this will never die... i'm sad to see that nowadays nothing is durable. Everything is made to be replaced faster.
