CC classes are hard, as much as can be a UCB class. I took a math class at a CC, believing it would be easy.... Never underestimate a CC. I failed, coming from UCB, If you're talking about upperdivision classes then that's som' else.

Its mostly taxonomy and be able to identify speciment, and also anatomy of vertebrae and invertebrae. ITs actually a lab practical exam, similar to that of med-school~~you are timed, and you rotate thru different stations. Its just one of the most insane test in berkeley.

I got into UC Berkeley and UCLA. I SIRed to UCLA. Berkeley is weird, and too forest-like and the weather sucks. It's very nature like and different then UCLA. I think UCLA is nicer. Good luck in Berkeley.

Nope, I am not Chinese, I am half-Japanese and half-Filipino but I was born and raised in USA. LOL. I cannot understand/read/speak Nihongo at all. I freaking suck at it but I can speak Tagalog fluently. Are you Chinese? Actually I went to a highly gifted magnet school (North Hollywood HS) and no, it's not for retarded people but it is for geeks and insane people. I think just go to Wikipedia and it says it all. Well, UCLA is competitive but not like competitive as UC Berkeley.

Well, the last time I went to Berkeley was last year when I went to San Francisco and Sacramento because my cousin got married. Well, LA is kinda fun... sometimes. But it gets so hot in here even in spring. The weather in here is quite unpredictable. I wish I can study in UC Berkeley but really, I hate long driving so much! It makes me gag! It's like 5 hours drive, ugh! Do you stay at your dorm or you go home?

And some smart guys, they were socially retarded (they seriously didn't know how to interact with people at all and they were awfully arrogant so screw them). But there were guys that got 4.0 and got into really good universities (even my stupid-ass ex-boyfriend got into Standford! I envied him!)Were there a lot of smart guys/girls to the HS you went to?

Actually, that school was not all about your IQ, it was about patience and hard work. Students in our school who weren't in HGM program used to think that we were freaks and they hated us b/c they thought we were in special treatment (if they only knew!). My dad was born here so he doesn't really speak Nihongo, just a lil' bit, he can't teach me how. LOL. But I've gone in Japan like 3 times in my whole life b/c we visited my grandma. I love being Filipino, I'm more Filipino than Nihonjin. x)

We had our own faculty members who were especially just for us... and they were insane and expected so much from us! Well it was really different.
