  • Anytime I record with a camera, I always get that "static," or some sort of persistent undesired sound. It's hard recording piano music with such because the beautiful volume which the piano creates, winds up distorting on the camera's microphone.

Your playing is gorgeous, Rick. These mlogs are literally you sitting down and playing completely cold, just what you feel at the moment?

  • Interesting I should notice this comment today...the day that I'm ordering a pair of matched condenser mics. :-)

To answer your question; in a word, yes.

  • Geesh... Awesome playing Rick!

  • Ooh yay - that should be better I hope!

and you're amazing by the way.

  • I envy you. Most of the time I can't even make sense of my own feelings, but here you can portray them to everyone through your music.

Btw, the sound didn't seem to work out so well on this one as with others. The static kinda got in the way of the piano.

  • You're right. I think I've figured out what part of the 'static' is...I'm going to try insulating the camera from the table with a cloth or something to make sure it's not a vibration.
