  • which photoshop did you use?

  • @thecrazymonkey0001 For this one I believe I used CS3 But you should be able to do with with any version even elements from my understanding.

  • Did you know you spelled Opacity wrong?

  • @WeAreLowBrass I hadn't noticed though i'm sure it's not my only spelling/grammar mistake.

  • This would have so much easier to understand if you had slowed down the parts where your actually doing it, I'm beyond lost x_____x

  • Thank you o___o This helped a lot<33333

  • try this:

change color mode to lab color

    use color changer thingy

    use gladient if needed

thats what i do to edit manga o-o

  • I have to try that now :3 Thanks for the tip

  • Godly...I gotta try it now. OO

    Bookmarking links~

  • :3 Hope this way works out for you! If you want you can add more shadows and highlights like many professional artists do, this is more of a starting point :3

  • I did try it. :3

I'm proud of it and I'll probably upload it to my myspace (I'm Pamela Ibis) for critique or whatever. XD Thanks a ton for the tuts! =D <3

  • It wont let me select "Clipboard"

    :(

    What do I do?

  • Make sure you've copied the pic via Right click - Copy Or just save the pic to your pc and open it in photoshop. If you do that make sure to goto Image - Mode - RGB Color

  • Is it really necessary to do the clipboard size before loading the pic into PS? I mean, All the drawings I've made've always been with only the pic, nothing before it o.o

  • The clipboard size will take the measurements of a picture you've copied so it will be an exact fit. If you just want to File -> Open don't bother with it.

  • Great, that's just what I do :) Thanks.

  • how do you clean the edges ?

  • Image -> Adjustments -> Levels or you can use the Burn tool on shadows.

  • hey i gots a question if u dont mind helping me! how do u make a layer to just be the lineart? cause i scaned sum of my linearts and i had made a layer with just the levels thingy but now i cant! could u help me? plz?

  • What you can do is once you load the photo into photoshop right click the background layer, which should be automatically created and right click it and choose "Layer from background". Then put it on multiply so the colors and lower layers will show through. If your paper is dark you'll want to fiddle with contrast and levels to get clearer colors. If ya still need help, cuz I can be confusing hehe, just lemme know and i'll see what I can do :3

  • thnx so much for the help!

    n yeah i think i got it!!

    :D

  • thanks! :D
