It seems to me that cartoons and kid shows in the 90's really weren't for kid to begin with. Sure they had some simple stuff that kids (like I at the time) would get but today if you go back and watch them you really see how much stuff only adults would get and find funny, Back when adults could watch cartoons and still enjoy them. It seems like now they don't put any of that hidden adult humor in shows anymore. Today, I could see watch old cartoons from the 90's and still enjoy them.
I loved xmen and Dragon ball z. i watched every series and read the comics. one childhood memory that will never leave my mind. Also there is Dinosaurs. and i dont mean the old trex RAWR thing. i mean the comedy. as in"NOT THE MAMMA!" Still don't get it. type in "not the Momma" in the search box and find out.
90's cartoons for the win....TMNT when it was good oh those were the times, and waiting for x-men to come on...kids now a days don't know nothing about the true Saturday morning cartoons
Oh well, as a kid I didn't mind about the advertising back in the 90s and as an adult, I still don't care that much. I mean I don't feel like they that they advertise their shows anymore then they did in the 90s... Like the Ninja Turtles for example, they only made those kind of cartoons, because they would sell well. And I watched Yugioh for the longest time, but strangely enough, I never bought a pack of cards, so advertisement will not always help!
@ELIJAHBEDOLLA elijah I agree! i could never watch another action martial arts anime after that. but I could rewatch that shit over n over again! it has a huge part in my life haha i always think of dbz wen i go to the gym
Since you seem to be rockin' an Adroid-device as well... There's a pretty cool free app in the market to watch the old Superman Cartoons on. They aren't exactly from the 90s, but yeah... still cool. ;)
cartoons are dead? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!!!? Lol, It's ridiculous that the past time for a kid on Saturday mornings is reduced to a marketing gimmick and nothing more, I'm 32 and I remember getting up just to watch Turtles on Saturdays in 86 and there being tons of great shows on and no purchase necessary. Now I gotta buy stuff if i want my kids to remotely experience what I did. Or go to the retrojunk website to experience it myself.
@ward7921 very true my friend! thanks for explaining your personal experiances! I totally relate man! it's a shame that kids DONT know what "well thought out " funny looks like. shows today are openinly saying opinions as fact instead of a cartoon just being slightly suggestive... but bottom line is... today kids are soft, and its because what they are watching sucks! a tip to you! watch REGULAR SHOW on cartoon net mondays at 8:15 pm eastern time... you can see the old cartoon influence!
