My son as well, has had adverse effects to anti-psychotics. In fact, he's been hospitilized severeal times from adverse reactions to anti-psychotics. Medical cannabis hasn't shown these terrible reactions. Though, I am no raving advocate for MMJ for autism, and in fact, have been an anti-MMJ person, I have found this therapy to be good.

I am within the definition of someone with ASD, I have asperger's syndrome ... autism and asperger's syndrome are not the same thing. It has been my experience that people with autism spectrum disorders are people who are prone to establishing routines, Marijuana is habit forming. This could easily lead to addiction, although marijuana does lower the symptoms of autism, because pot lowers stress levels and low stress levels stabilize autistics.

Repetitive beh's in ASD patients are an involuntary or semi-voluntary action caused by brain chemistry & synaptic function.
