I work in retail right now. Everyone's hours at the place I work has been cut down to 22 hrs-25hrs a week from fulltime. Trucker has told us freight has cut down big time. And I heard a rumor at work that we may get cut down to 15hrs a week.

The word you are looking for is deflation. Deflation is when prices go down (although it is proposed by 'hard money' fans as the contraction in money supply; whereas inflation is the increase of money supply). It is possible to have both deflation and inflation on different classes of goods.

All of this, with the manufacturing industry, is why Americans should drive American and I suppose Europeans should drive European. We have a big problem with these cars coming in from Asia, made by people who make sub-standard wages in Malaysia, China and Mexico. In order to have a "world economy," places like Ireland, The USA and the UK cannot "compete" with slave labor. It's a race to the bottom, my friends... and in the end, everyone is going to lose.

Good calls, although a more British perspective would be interesting. I also believe the pound will slide but I doubt the euro will slip down the dollar scale the ecb is basically the bundesbank and merkel has a head on her when it comes to printing money, the eu wants the euro to become the next global currency and I don't think they will follow the dollar q.e. Yes eastern and central europe is screwed but they will deflate.

(1) - Thanks - It really comes down to just looking at all possibilites that are out there. you don't have to believe anything anyone else says but if you can slowly transition into a better way of life that might be of benifit in a time where something shitty does happen then your already ahead if it does - if nothing shitty happens you still improved the quality of your life anyway.

If my memory serves me correctly the Pound reached parity with the Euro a couple of months ago, And it may be a coincidence but we had two power shortages over the last year and we never had them before. For the remaining everything here in this country seems to have become more stable. The housing market is collapsing though.

I can't google any previous web bot predictions and the only one I found depicted negative predictions and run on sentences written by me in this text box and pretty pathetic that a program only picks up Negative Predictions, which make no sense, since this is a run on sentence and laughter exists. I laughed when you ended this video with "Think about things." In conclusion, I should never use In conclusion. Nothing positive could come from negative predictions.

sounds pretty much on target to me! Gasoline prices are nearing three bucks a gallon, and climbing. I noticed this in one months time! Six bucks for a pack of smokes? Avoid 'headline figures' - like for like sales don't really count as much as profit.
2. Combined year on year UK 'like for like' sales are down nearly 17% Apr - Sep -5.7% Oct-Dec -7.1% Jan-Mar -4.2%
3. Most of the 'increase' in profits came in online and international sales. UK profits are down a lot more.
3. Yearly profit will be down roughly 40-50%.
We will have to wait for 'real' numbers on the financial statement to see the truth.
