Mineral oil only is usable, clove oil alone is not!
Tea seed oil (aka tea oil or camellia oil) is commonly used vegetable oil.
Vegetable oils are usable but with thin viscosity & low oily residue.
A light oil such as sewing machine oil or gun oil is usable.
Bo-hi (groove) is not a blood groove. It is to lighten a swords weight and cause a nice "swishing" audible feedback sound when swung. Besure to oil this groove well.
i dont know where to get these kite so could you tell me what could use like my friend sed wd40 can be used if you dont have sword oil and a baby powder for the powder stuff is that true
Don't use WD40, for oil you should use mineral oil or Choji oli wich is mineral oil with a little bit of clove oil for fragrance. I think you can use baby powder on it no problem, but im not sure though.

when should the annual cleaning be a month to 3 weeks?

@donkeykongos98
I clean it like I clean my guns- After every use, clean it. If I don't use it for 6 months, clean it anyway.

Mineral oil 100ml + 1ml clove oil = Choji oil
