Since the "New World Order" is mentioned in the song as the rythm we sway to, I find the only logical interpretation to be Big Brother ie. government telling us sheeple to go back to sleep, to keep us "safe from pain, truth, choice" while they create war they send us into - "counting bodies like sheep" - meaning soldiers dont have more value than sheep. "I´ll be the one to pretect you from a will to survive and a voice of reason", while they create the New World Order, Time to wake up?

What's even funnier is there is no real point to the song. It's Maynard. He tells you to use the music in a way it will help you. For some it can be about drugs to another it can be about religion in another it can be about a hobo on the side of the road. It's how a person uses it. Even though it's not completely Tool I believe in using music in the way Maynard intended it from the beginning.

it was just a video we did for our media project and we had to pick a song! just seemed like an ideal one. Its really not supposed to reflect the true meaning, i dont think anyone can ever reflect or should attempt to reflect the true meaning of a song except the person who wrote it to begin with.

The video doesn't represent anything really, was just one we had to make for media! we get what the song is originally about but we thought they could also be interpreted to fit in with the theme of our video. The war drums just acted as a beat to the guys footsteps! It's not really meant to be that deep and meaningful in terms of real life it's just a storyline.
