@techno776 the soul is in the music not the vinyl. a good dj is one that knows where to cue a song when to mix in and when to mix out, and one that has a good ear for music that knows what tracks are hot and which ones are not. plus there is so much versatility in digital format, and it takes a lot of time and patience to learn and master the programs as it does for "regular" vinyl dj'ing. i know people that have traktor and they still suck ass at "dj'ing" they dont know how to use the thing

@Acm1ptete This is so true, I came from vinyl and at first I detest digital. But once I got my hands on TP I totally changed my view, I use TSP but regreted selling my 1200's, now I just have cdjs, wish I have 4 decks to control TSP. I still need to learn how to play around with 4 decks, being a trance dj you really cant do much unless you are ballsy enough to fuk around with it. Although right now im getting into Techno and Minimal, that you can def fuk around with the features in of TSP..

@xSandemanx the Pad thing he's using is NI's Maschine, the things with jog wheels are Xone: 1D's, the mixer is is a Xone: 42.

Yes it´s possible to control two decks with one xone 1d, because you can use Modifier, so you can use a single button from the Xone for more than just one command in Traktor. One Xone 2D without a mixer works, but you have to less buttons und encoders for all the commands (you need alle things that normaly do the hardware Mixer, like eq´s or Faders)

Do you happen to know if its possible to use just one Xone 1D with a mixer and be able to have full control of two decks in Traktor?

How about using a Xone 2D and Traktor without a mixer?

I'm trying to make my setup as light yet as complete as is possible.
