  • and here i am, still watching this in 2012.

  • It´s a curious resemblance that in the 20´s Bessie Smith recorded the hit "Jailhouse Blues". The blues had a baby and they named it baby "rock and roll".

  • Wish I could find an old black and white "live" version of this like so many of his other hits from that era. All there seems to be is the movie version and, sped up versions in color during his later days.

  • i wish the same but i believe it´s almost impossible

  • Back in 1957 when this song first came out on the radio, there was a disc jockey from a popular radio station in San Diego who had some kind of a beef against the management, so he locked himself into the broadcasting room and played Jailhouse Rock over and over, constantly all day long for at least 6 hours till somebody broke the door down and stopped the music.

I was 13 years old then. but that day was one of the best days of my childhood. NOBODY wanted Jailhouse Rock to stop!

  • This is the greatest dance sequence of any motion picture ever made. Elvis will always be the greatest singer, entertainer, talent, force and icon. This is one of the greatest rock 'n' roll songs ever written. No one could and no one can sing it as good as Elvis. Jailhouse Rock is a real cool movie. I'm an avid Elvis collector. Thanks so very much for sharing that perfect video, 5 Stars.

  • did it not take about 35 takes for this sequence ithink i heared it say that when he did take 1 his trainers were pure black at the end of the 35 takes soles of the shoes were white the dye rubbed off a perfectionist
