This is not a criticism. You are signing Auslan in English word order. True Auslan has a very different grammatical structure to English. Good on you for having a go.
hey Naja. i really enjoyed your video- you sign really well- i understood all that you signed. i hope you make many more auslan videos because i'm still learning and there are not many auslan videos i can watch. never stop signing because you know iCanHearUSign. :))))
@aussieartist hello! Thank you! I started losing my hearing around age three, and now it's a moderate loss. I finished my intro to Auslan course about two months ago but I still use bits of Auslan with my friends, and I try to learn new words as I need them. I keep meaning to do more blogs, thanks for the comment and reminding me!
@aussieartist yeah, a course through my uni. I'd like to do more but they're very expensive! Hopefully now that I have the basics and have taught a few friends, I can just develop it as I need to (:
@najalater Try a TAFE course? From what I heard, if you took the first year course at TAFE, it's free. Or you can always go to Deaf club and meet some Deafies. Living in Sydney?
Great stuff! I'm learning Auslan. I'm not deaf, but I want to be involved in the deaf community.

@najalater where about did you learn the Auslan from? I'm just guessing from a community course. Lookin' forward to watch more of your Auslan blogs.

@aussieartist
TAFE isn't free where I live. There are community courses, but they aren't always as good.
