See i exualy had another follower but what i didnt knew is that i had him waiting somewhere so one time i found him back again and i rememberd everything and than sended him home. than i tried to get a follower again and it worked fine.. so you might wanne check if your not having a follower waiting somewhere.. ;)

There's a way to not have to sacrifice a follower: After your follower is trapped kill all the cultist and leave one of them alive. Let that one cultist kill your follower then wait about 2-3 secs, then kill the cultist(has to be quick). Your follower will be resurrected, while Boethiah indoctrinates the cultist instead.

Why would you swap to heavy armour now? If you wanted the strongest Armour to start with, why not just go for daedric from the start?? Your chest plate itself could be over 250 armour rating by now.
