Jp Morgan and Chase donated 4.6 million dollars to the NYPD, the biggest donation in history to the NYPD from one firm. Wall Street is protecting themselves, and when you have Wall street inside Michael Bloomberg running the police in NY, don't be surprised when things like this happen. @rhaeas1859 Wall St. isn't just a gathering of the uber-wealthy, it also contains average everyday investors and employees who prop up the system. The world is not black and white. The same people protesting "big business" likely took a dump at the nearest McDonalds that morning.
If we are a democracy then it is our responsibility to personally sculpt the laws that will rein in the corruption. Eliminating corporate sponsorship of politicians is a very fine place to start.
