Where are the defenders of the male victims, as one police mentioned to me years ago, in 90% of the domestic violent situations they respond to it is the woman being the aggressor and yet you see all the adds, campaigns and music presenting women as victim only. It is time to stop this behavior, it does no public good and leads to continue abuse of men and to some degree children (another rarely mentioned victim of domestic violence, the focus is all woman as victim).
Wow! Your voice is amazing, and your songs are VERY powerful! I am praying for my daughter, who has suffered from this...and now my granddaughter, is paying a terrible price, for the low self-esteem her mother still has. They may be removing her from the home any day now... Thank you for caring enough to write about this taboo subject matter...God bless you!
@TheSpazzofMuffins Most of the time it still comes down to whether someone believes you or your abuser. When you have someone telling you they will kill you and your family if you say anything, it doesnt matter how much money is spent, would you put your family in that place? Knowing that if you left your abuser would kill them? Have you been in that situation?
@raeflack my fathers were arrested on false claims. My mom accused My father of raping me, and my brother's father of beating me my brother and her. My father didn't go to jail, 'cause there was absolutely no evidence, but he was detained for a week without evidence. If a woman cries loud enough they forget silly little human rights like Hebeas Corpus. But my brother's father was inprisoned for several months. Even thought his head was still split open from where mom threw the remote at him.
@TheSpazzofMuffins Well, Im sorry that happened. It makes it worse on people who it has really happened to- me, one of my friends- who try to report it and neither of us were taken seriously because so many people had come in and lied. She had cuts and bruises and I had a cast. We didnt go at the sametime but you get the picture. Does it make me upset that some women try and cant get cops to believe them because of this yes, but dont put all of them in the same basket. We're not all the same.
this should be the anthem for abused women people do not understand that the reason is becaue you dont want to be killed or have your children killed. And that is a very real threat when you try to leave. My experience is that the court system will not really let you leave. they will tie you and your children to this violent person forever. Bless you for pointing out that women dont leave because they are SCARED TOO.
Your video brought tease to my eyes, I felt like I couln't escape my ex many time's and althought I finally ran away I had to leave my Friends, my children, my family, and everything I loved behind. I lost so many jobs and ended up being disabled and even thought he isn't hear anymore and i moved far away there isn't a day I don't remember everyting he did and cry about all the terrible names he called me. Thanks for making this video and I hope it helps people understandd !

Not every murder to a man a woman commits is not because she was abused/battered.
If any human being can escape such a serious charge like murder by just simply accusing another human of abusing them, a lot of them will play that card, what person would not?
I am not saying all women do this, but this does indeed explain a good bulk of the accusations made, which are never questioned by the law.
absolutely gut-wrenching and so very true - even if it's not physical abuse, but emotional - I will share this all I can - wonderful voice and full of truth
Violence is wrong. Either verbal or physical. Emotional violence is more subtle, and the current state of gender states that this aspect is overlooked. It is only the result of constant nagging that is focussed upon.
I AM NOT DEFENDING violence. I am just pissed off at the great divide in society between understanding man's needs and motivations.
@luvkrafft I hate to say it, but I put up with that type of abuse as well. I didn't realize that it was emotional abuse. I just believed that it was verbal abuse. I so much want to help other women who are living in an abusive realtionship. It took me 16 years to leave. It was getting to the point that he was almost choking me to death. It seemed the abuse was just progressively getting worse. The verbal and emotional abuse was an everyday event, the physical abuse was also happening to much.
Any 'man' that hits a woman should try someone a little more his own size, see how He likes it, I reckon. Though there are many forms of abuse, emotional and mental can be very damaging as well.
But if I see someone hit a woman I go off, Crazy off, never could help it somehow.
Wow! This hit home... I left 10 years ago and its still like it happened yesterday...I decided this year that I'm letting go of the fear that I still have ... the fear that he'll find me the fear of what would happen if he did. I'm going to live my life my way.
You have an amazing voice....beautiful! I watched both of your videos. You have alot of talent and I thank you for being a voice for many who are too afraid to speak.
Sweetness, I got your message on myspace hon & viewed this over on your space there. Honey... THANK YOU PRECIOUS for putting this out here for the world. This message must be heard!!! I can't express to you the personal meaning this has to me in my own life. I held the gun at him after the first time he beat me! I didn't pull the trigger, but the police officer took it from me. I was the battered wife, but I Survived and am here to say... I also speak for those who can't!!!
Thank you for watching, I'm new on you tube, so i'm starting from the begining...I have a lot of friends on myspace..I am trying to make as many people aware of this evil behavior..Again thank you for taking the time to watcg.
@diannacountry Very good, great job on it. I left an abusive marriage after 16 years, three weeks ago. He tried to choke me to death. The cracked ribs and the black eyes and the bruises were not as bad as the verbal abuse. It is really hard, but I am not going back to him. It will only get worse, right?

Oh and before I go
It was proven that there is over 830,000 cases of women abusing men in America alone.
Something to think about
