  • perfect. I must have watched this about 10 times in the last 20 years. always love it. Although I must say the 2009 one is pretty true to the book---some deviations here and there, but overall not a bad addition to the Christie films.

  • I miss Joan Hickson.

  • thanks for the upload - i love AC!

  • 38, 441 people enjoy watching this yet only 57 respond. Why? A person took the time and made the effort to share and to be kind. Don't you think it would be right to take a few seconds and respond? One way or another. You either a taker or a giver. My vast opinion but please don't get so complacent(sp) to just take. I fight it myself. :) Songs

  • Joan Hickson is a PERFECT Miss marple. I liked the book's ending better, though.

  • Outstanding! Thank you!

  • @MrNightOwL100 It is. I liked this Inspector better than any. He respects Miss Maple when he finally realizes her worth and shows that to her the respect she deserves. Too bad all of the English police around that area aren't clued into her when they 1st become Inspectors. lol His pride is put on the backburner. / If I remember it correcly, in the book Mrs. F. actually fell in love with Percival even though her mom put her up to it. Any adult that says, "someone made me" is an idiot.

  • Thanks for posting this, really enjoyed watching ....

  • Loved the movie, thanks for posting.

  • Awesome....thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Marple's a genius

  • How could Lance assume Gladys hadn't seen or will not see one of his photos at the Fortescue house, beats me. Making Gladys an accomplice was a risky proposition.

  • @manmohanh true, but remember Lance has been in Africa for a long time, and it's unlikely they would have a photograph of the way he looks now. He was also a bit of an outcast from the family, so again, unlikely they would display any photograph if they had one.

  • @radar1974 I am sure that is the premise Christie worked on. But Lance can't have been exactly sure of the fact, can he?

  • @manmohanh you're right, and he also would have worked on the fact Gladys was slightly 'simple' and would become so devoted to him, she wouldn't have spotted he was Lance even if the evidence was right under her nose :) THink it's just one of those moments Christie wants us to 'put to one side' as she does in many of her wonderful novels.

  • @radar1974 Agreed. It could be put aside as a calculated risk on part of Lance.

  • @manmohanh lolol Man! Brilliant. I never thought of that but of course you're right unless the old gentleman would have all his photos removed if he was one of those fathers who would disown a son and wants everything distroyed of his. / I'm surprised Lance doesn't kill his wife in a moment of madness. He's already killed so many. What's one more? In the book, I can't remember how he was killed or if he was. I don't think the series was that far off from the books, so this must be close.

  • Thanks for uploading this series & for doing it so well.

  • Thanks so much for your effort to upload this episode. :)

  • you know every police man should be that nice to her!

  • Thank you from southern Mexico.

  • I think there was a scene cut: after she rides off she goes home and gets a note from Gladys about her and Burt and a snapshot. Is this true?

  • It's in the book but not in this version of it, they made up for it by showing Lance confessing and then getting killed which was a poorer ending in my opinion..

  • @fkd1963 that is how the book ends

  • I love Joan but after reading the book it made me realize that the Julia Mackenzie version was a lot closer to the novel than this one, a lot of the scenes were cobbled together and some good moments were removed like the photo at the end of the story and also my favorite scene of Pecrcival and Lancelot arguing at the office. If anybody reads the book they will feel disappointed with this version, also felt it was a bit cheap killing Lance off at the end.

  • Merci, Hassan! J'adore!!!

  • aah ! ! ! ! ! ! What a classic ending. I love Miss Marple.

  • brilliant, thank you for posting :-)

  • Lovely! Thank you very much for posting this!

  • I enjoyed this thanks for posting. I was disappointed that the final scene in the book was taken out. It's the one where she goes home and gets a letter from Gladys.

  • Hi thanks for uploading this. do you have Nemesis played by Joan Hickson. The other actor is not quite as Miss Marple like as Joan's. I reckon she is THE Miss Marple.

  • I love how it was vaguely suggested that the poor distraught Pat would after all be "rescued" by that handsome farmer truck driver who unwittingly killed Lance. It was also priceless how Miss Marple reproached Jennifer. "Nevertheless, it was very naughty." I love how Jennifer reacted/admitted like a guilty child that she is.

  • Ditto!

  • Thank you very much for uploading, Mr. Hassan.

    I really enjoy watching this.

  • Joan Hickson IS Miss Marple! thanks for posting!!

  • Great thanks

  • Miss Marple has the collection of hats. As a person who still wears hats it is a delight to watch her hats. They do make her character. Waiting anxiously for the missing parts. Thank you for finding these episodes.

  • hassan, pls upload segments 1 thru 7 of this story

  • What an excellent yarn ! Thank you so much for uploading, Hassan. Your 'official' pals !Astra & Kenn.

  • Thank you so much, BBC must be SO proud of these. Haven't seen this one all the way thru before but Hickson/Marple this will be on my gift list. ;-)
