Vote for the "What's Your Crazy Green Idea?" Contest

The Capacitor idea was done to death by EEstor but now a new idea the Quantum Battery has surfaced and far more compelling and practical plus its crazier then anything this contest has come up with. EEstor has referenced the quantum battery and the patent holder has discussed openly the cost of making such a battery for as little as 300-500 dollars.

I am seriously underwhelmed by their three choices. I voted for the Capacitor idea, that was the only practical idea. The Energy Independence and Reducing Home Usage are not practical ideas.  You are never going to be completely energy independent and increases in technological complexity always means you will be consuming more electricity. They would have been better off if they picked the algae biofuel idea or a prize increasing the efficiency of solar cells.
