I'm just now seeing this video and, Dan, I am incredibly sorry. I just lost one of my friends less than two weeks ago. His death was completely unexpected though. We're all here for you!
I know how you feel Dan. My uncle has, since about a week after Christmas, been in several hospitals after being diagnosed with both lymphoma and lower intestinal cancer. He was doing well then around the beginning of February His health began to rapidly decline. He was a man of virtues and refused to be put on pain medication during chemotherapy and recuperation. After three months of fighting He died last night with my grandparents by his side. I wish you and your family the best of wishes.

Dan, my Grandmother in Arizona is dying. She has a month or so to live and our family will be visiting Arizona (from MN) during Spring Break until the end of Spring Break. She is 97 and she's lived a long time.
Seeing people makes me cry, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss, I wish you and your family all the best!
At the same time, it feels strange to be allowed to see so much of your life, I never thought Dan 3.0 would involve so much in your life as it has, it feels like I'm watching the daily vlog of a friend or family member.

Sometimes just spending the day curled up in bed and crying it the best think you can do. I did the exact same thing when my Grampy died. Ever since then I have been doing a lot more to talk and spend time with my other grandparents. for the last few years my Nana Elane health hasnt been in the best of shapes. I start to tear up a little when I think about how, some day, She wont be here any more. Its good that youre going home to be with your family. <3
I rember when my grandpa died he was absolutley awesome, he fought in WWI and thats somthing i always respected him for, I never actually knew my real grandpa because he died so the only grandpa i had was my "Step grandpa" but he was always really special, my family usually have kids later in their life so my grandpa died when i was 10 years old, I remeber when i found out, I didn't cry , but for that whole week i didnt sleep at all, Because i couldnt stop thinking about him, so take a break Dan

Obviously we'll miss you, but you need this time off and you'll need a while to get back on your feet again. I know what its like. My grandad is 85 and we think this will be his last year and somtimes when i cant sleep i think, and i think alot about what it will be like when he dies and it makes me cry a bit but it helps so you should just let it out by laying on your bed and crying.
I lost my grandmother about five years ago near Christmas. She was blind, pretty much deaf and had so many medical issues that I couldn't keep track of, but she never stopped being happy. Despite knowing that nobody expected her to live even five years before she went, it was still a shock when my mother got the call from her sister.I have never been the same ever since. Believe me when I say this, I feel your pain.
Loss is the hardest thing to deal with in life and you have all the right to be sad and want to curl up with some ice cream. Big hugs from everyone Dan. x

my poppy passed away on just before christmas, it was a hard few months in and out of the hospital but there was this one day where he was awake and we got to talk to him right before things got really bad, and even though he new how serious things were he just told us stories all night with a smile on his face. He gave me the record player we used to dance to and that always makes me smile the picture might be silly but you wont forget your grandpas personality because of it.
I know everything I could say has already been said, but I just wanted to let you know that this video has reminded me of how beautiful humanity is. We have emotions, and we overcome hardships, and we are human. And you, sir, are a fine example of human.

I rember when my grandpa died he was absolutley awesome, he fought in WWI and thats somthing i always respected him for, I never actually knew my real grandpa because he died so the only grandpa i had was my "Step grandpa" but he was always really special, my family usually have kids later in their life so my grandpa died when i was 10 years old, I remeber when i found out, I didn't cry , but for that whole week i didnt sleep at all, Because i couldnt stop thinking about him, so take a break Dan

Take some time off, go back and spend some time with your family. This is obviously important to you, and you need some time with your grandfather. Obviously we'll miss you, but you need this time off and you'll need a while to get back on your feet again. We all love you, just take however long you need and we'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers. x

I know what its like. My grandad is 85 and we think this will be his last year and somtimes when i cant sleep i think, and i think alot about what it will be like when he dies and it makes me cry a bit but it helps so you should just let it out by laying on your bed and crying.

I lost my grandmother about five years ago near Christmas. She was blind, pretty much deaf and had so many medical issues that I couldn't keep track of, but she never stopped being happy. Despite knowing that nobody expected her to live even five years before she went, it was still a shock when my mother got the call from her sister.I have never been the same ever since. Believe me when I say this, I feel your pain.

My father passed away just last week, and I'm not fully recovering. He was an amazing human being and I believe that your grandfather couldve been his best friend. It's hard to lose someone so unique, Dan, but think about the good memories and look to the future.

My grandpa died in the last year, I know how hard it is to lose someone who meant so much. My condolences Dan. Memories are never as good as the real thing but they are better than nothing and they stay with you until you forget.

Every time someone I know who is loosing a grandparent, I always think back to when my grandmother died. The week leading up to her death was so hard, and it impossible not to hurt. Hey Dan, I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Our whole community is hear for you. Your grandfather must be so proud to have a grandson like you. He has inspired you to inspire many and that is a beautiful thing. I had my uncle die a few years ago at the age of 45. It was hard, it is still hard. I am crying now just writing this. But it was an honor knowing him and the pain of loss was worth the memories. I hope you will remember the good memories before the loss.

Oh, Dan. I feel for you, I really do. My great-grandmother passed away earlier this week, and I couldn't even leave the house for days after I found out. Please take care of yourself, be with your family, cry when you need to, do what you need to do to be okay. Everything will be right again, but for now it's okay to just be sad. my poppy passed away on just before christmas, it was a hard few months in and out of the hospital but there was this one day where he was awake and we got to talk to him right before things got really bad, and even though he new how serious things were he just told us stories all night with a smile on his face. He gave me the record player we used to dance to and that always makes me smile the picture might be silly but you wont forget your grandpas personality because of it.
