We also need to remember that with the exception of Savard, Kovalchuk as never had a true playmaker to play with. Ovechkin has Backstorm and a way better supporting cast than kovalchuk.

I don't think there's a forward who scores with the slap shot more than Ilya in the NHL.

He has the best overall shot in the NHL. Ovechkin scores more because he shoots way more, but Ilya is a real sniper. Ovechkin is a guy with a machine gun.

you cant compare every prospect to malkin ovechkin adn crosby..they are once in a generation players...evander kane is going to be a great player and theres nothing wrong with having a 2nd level scoring player with a dominate sniper like this plus little..not every player is crosby and ovechkin and walk in at 18 and make an impact soem players need time

Kane is not strong enough physically to be an elite NHL player.

Until he hits the gym and puts on some muscle mass to his frame, he will stay a B+ level player but will not be an A level player like Ilya, Malkin, Iginla, Crosby, Ovechkin,Hossa, Heatley and ect.
