Trying to ban guns would be like prohibition back in the day. Alcohol was illegal but people still found ways around it. Laws to prohibit guns would only leave only criminals to have them illegally. I'm not going to wait 5-20 minutes for the cops to aid me when the criminal is already in my home/school looking to rob/kill me or my family. It sucks but it's the society we live in. If the gov could remove guns 100% from criminals, then I'd get rid of my firearm. But they won't and can't, 2 hard

I don't trust teachers per se, but it's pretty much always the kids or a former student that flips out and starts shooting people, so in some cases it could be a good thing.

For instance, there was a professor at Virginia Tech who held the door shut against Cho while his students escaped out a window. Cho shot through the door and killed him, but if the professor had had a gun, perhaps he could have survived and ended the killing spree early.

Just something to think about.

I had an angry science teacher with a demeanor on the verge of spree-killing the class, at the time that was the 1 class I could learn in because he scared the shit out of the normally rowdy students; this allowed me to concentrate on my studies. I kept an A+ all the way through his course but because the other students were naturally stupid in the 1st place most of them failed & shit in lieu of our strict environment.
