For Night Attack, try hitting them with more than one arrow. The second arrow will add to your glyph count even though the first is enough to drop them.

Tried getting 3 glyphs today on Hell Mode, had all three circles lit at the end of the fight, AND IT ONLY GAVE ME TWO.
I quit on getting all the glyphs after that. This fight and Night Attack I simply cannot string enough hits together!
