Im currently living/teaching in Barranquilla, Colombia. As an American, I can tell you that there is very little representation for the Colombian workers. Many work 12 hours a day/7 days a week with no benefits. The rich are extremely powerful and the distribution of wealth is very unequal. Hopefully, Obama can change this.

Labor unions cause a lot of problems. Look at Detroit. Unions used to protect workers from harsh conditions and extremely low wages. Now, they just squeeze every penny out of corporations.
