During Generation Y the technology was there, but people really didn't rely on it. I remember dial up internet. It wasn't worth it. Most of my childhood was in the time before the high tech boom as well and I was born in 1993. Also Generation Y is about to live through a Depression.

I was born in 1984 and graduated high school in 2003 with that class being 1984-85. If generation Y was those that graduated high school in the two-thousands decade from 2000-2009 that would be 1981-82 the first to graduate high school school in 2000 and 1990-91 the last to graduate high school in 2009, that's too short of a generation. I never heard in 2010 those born in 1980-1990 that were in their twenties and thirties were similar to generation X. That would put generation Z from 1991-2009.

I been reading on the generations and most people put it at for each generation. Baby Boomers; 1946-1964, Generation X; 1965-1979, Generation Y; 1980-1994, Generation Z; 1995-2009. I noticed that the Xers was born from the second-half of the sixties and through the seventies and the Yers was born through the eighties and from the first-half of the nineties and the Zers was born from the second-half of the nineties and through the two-thousands decade 2000-2009.
IMO...Generation Y are probably those born from 1982 to 1991 because the first class to graduate from high school in 2000 were those born in 1982 and the last class to graduate from high school in the 2000s' (2009) were those born in 1991.
I heard that this new decade (the 2010's) for members of Generation Y that are now in their twenties and in their thirties will be similar to Generation X.

@Sunduals And the only thing I am willing to die for is my friend, my only true friend I've ever had, the other true friends I have had before are dead too now, so now all I have is one decent person in my life so thats all that truly matters. Society is awful and I stay in my room away from people. I have been home schooled for 3 years so I never have to leave the house anymore, I only visit the cemetery at night sometimes.
@Sunduals both my mom and dad died in a car crash when I was at daycare in kindergarten, I live with my aunt and shes mean and my cousin is mean too. I stay in my room because I hate the general population because everyone is so mean and I know there are occasional nice people but they are so rare, and I hate getting to know people because it takes forever to build trust and usually when I start to trust someone they do something bad to me, so I'm done with that.

I was born in 1984 and graduated high school in 2003 with that class being 1984-85. If generation Y was those that graduated high school in the two-thousands decade from 2000-2009 that would be 1981-82 the first to graduate high school school in 2000 and 1990-91 the last to graduate high school in 2009, that's too short of a generation. I never heard in 2010 those born in 1980-1990 that were in their twenties and thirties were similar to generation X. That would put generation Z from 1991-2009.

I been reading on the generations and most people put it at for each generation. Baby Boomers; 1946-1964, Generation X; 1965-1979, Generation Y; 1980-1994, Generation Z; 1995-2009. I noticed that the Xers was born from the second-half of the sixties and through the seventies and the Yers was born through the eighties and from the first-half of the nineties and the Zers was born from the second-half of the nineties and through the two-thousands decade 2000-2009.

@Sunduals both my mom and dad died in a car crash when I was at daycare in kindergarten, I live with my aunt and shes mean and my cousin is mean too. I stay in my room because I hate the general population because everyone is so mean and I know there are occasional nice people but they are so rare, and I hate getting to know people because it takes forever to build trust and usually when I start to trust someone they do something bad to me, so I'm done with that.

@Sunduals My aunt has been abusive in the past, lately not so much, and I don't think I'd want to go to a residential treatment place, I was taken away and put in a group home for a short time and it was awful, my aunt might be mean but she usually ignores me so I have the freedom to come and go as I please and I don't do anything to get in trouble. And I'm not smaller than my peers, I'm actually taller than my aunt and cousin now so they don't bother me as much, I'm 5'10" and I'm a girl

@Sunduals were completely flooding this comment section with our conversation! I agree with you though. I've read about how things were in the 90's and it seemed so much better than and before that too. Kids weren't spoiled brats with cell phones and ipods back then were they? I have a cell phone but I've never used an or touched an ipod, and my cell phone is just a simple cheap phone not one of those fancy ones that have a type writer. I only talk to one person on it anyway.

and you gave the casino dealer a gun, told him that you bet your life, and then you lose the bet....
they would not hesitate to pull the trigger, and then send your mom a bill for the bullet.

@Kreechum onetime, 2 guys tried to rob me, I got off my bike, wrestled them to the ground...
I actually put them in handcuffs and leg irons myself LOL
two 18 year olds.
when we got to court, the room was formal, the climate was intimidating, and there was no juvenile protecton for them....
the room was long, the judge was high up on the podium, I was wearing a navy blue suit, a white shirt and a tie, and shoes...
one of the attempted robbers fainted out of fear.

@Kreechum cell phones, computers, tvs, dvds, and blue ray, and video games.... they are not bad, the system of rewarding kids with these things, even during their failures.... thats what corrupts.

they will take your money, your house, your car, your food money, and let you die, and they dont care, just as long as they have your money, in their pocket.

@Sunduals I think my aunt goes to casinos a lot. I've never been to one though, but from movies I've seen about them they look dangerous and the people there seem really mean. I agree about how people get rewarded when they fail at something. I have been avoiding the word "fail" lately because people use it as a slang I've noticed and I never use slangs. Thats good that you stopped those robbers from robbing you.

feels the same, as a 12 year old child, being punched in the nose by an adult man.
