A SUBwoofer is for low frequencies below 50-100 hz. What you are presenting here, is just a cheap loooking woofer! A woofer is for frequencies up to 3000 hz, not more. It sounds like a toilet! You also need a tweeter to complete the audible frequency range.

The midrange sound is louder then the sub! You need to calibrate! If I played this though my JBL sound system from pc, which is disconnected at the time, chances are I’d hear less bass to sub bass and more mid range.

what other speakers are you using? it sounds like you have the hole signal from the song going into the sub woofer. you should get a crossover to send just the low frequencies to the sub woofer, then it would sound a lot more crisp! and the bass will have a better thump!
