Also the fact that derivatives were not regulated contributed greatly to the crises because pieces of bad investments/debt could be packaged with pieces of good investments and given a rating that did not reflect the fact that there was bad debt incorporated into them.

@chukkufarley It's Fannie and not Fanny. You have it backward, Fannie and Freedie garanteed the toxic mortagages that where sold to private but regulated banks and sold as "safe" investments. It was not wall street that caused this it was the liberal Congress that caused the ecomonic collapse!

@EscapeNewJersey palin and many other republican senators, especially ones like michelle bachmann who argue that the government should stop paying out subsidies make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, some getting paid directly by farm owners. And not "Farmer john on his family's farm." I mean massive billion dollar conglomerates
Also I don't understand how Mitt Romney earned what he has achieved when you admitted that he just inherited them. His father did all the work, according to you.
