My puppy likes to bite fingers and such everytime someone tries to pet him. He's a puppy and thats normal, he has to chew things. But he really shouldn't grow up learning that thats okay. I took a cloth and soaked it in vinegar. Everytime he bites a finger or toe, I held it up to his face and let him get a good wiff. Hasn't biten since =) Bitter apple or orange spray you buy in pet stores works too. Just find a smell they dont like.

Omg reminds me of my own shiba. He's being lazy and lyingon the couch. They get so frisky after a bath eh? or a walk. Mine personally runs around the house to get rid of the excess energy. It's funny how most shibas are the same, you tap on the head during a play fight and they go whoooo. Normally when i don't want to play anymore i keep my hand on his head and rub it a couple times or hold him, and he calms down. But don't do it too often cause god the shedding... Shiba Inu's are not for everyone and they require intense training. Your dog needs to learn bit inhabition and by playing with your dog that way you are encouraging it to bite. What if he/she was going nuts like that and a child came? People need to think logically about what is cute and what will not be cute if they do it to other people or in fornt of company.

You shouldn't be criticizing this person. They calm down after a while. I say that when you are playing with your dog like that you are encouraging biting. If a child was to come up to a dog when it is in this state and get bit, you would be liable. If your dog bites because it is in a 'bad mood' then your dog is not trained properly. Do some reasearch.
