Why would someone sit there and transmit messages even though the site was abandoned?
Station was moved from Moscow district to somewhere in Pskov district. It`s believed that station purpose is messages for army recruitment centers.

@1993gtx They changed location in 2010, I think the pictures are of the old transmitter site, there's some more about it on Wikipedia.
