Yeh the 3800 plant shut down in 08 and GM stopped allocating the L32 (Supercharged) in Mid 07 so it wasnt available for the 08 models. Kind of a shame they did away with the 3800. Very strong tride and true motor.

Actually what I would love to do is put a GXP engine and tranny in the base Grand Prix I have now, that would fool even the other GP drivers.

@robertkurt2 Gxp's u can get for around 14k now for a decent one.

@IIGOLGOTHAII Yes that is very true. But the problem is I still owe to much on this one right now. I test drove a GXP not to long ago and tried to get a credit approval but the negative equity in my car brought the price of the GXP way higher than the lender was willing to finance. So I am going to wait till next summer before I do anything.

@robertkurt2 hey just debadge it and buy the gt1 badges from a dealer. other than the front and rear fascia (slight differences which wouldnt be noticed by your average gp driver) no one would even know. so much cheaper. im 15 187 days until i get my license and im gettin one of those bad boys!

@MWNinjas Actually I did debadge it just recently, but I am going to leave it that way to make it more mysterious.

So you are getting a GP when you turn 16, that is very cool. Do you have one already picked out?

Yeh the main reason they dropped the Supercharger for that year was they were getting rid of the L67.

Ha ha ha... I did yesterday and I am glad I did. I guess I was trying to simulate a leather wrapped steering by having it on..lol
