Ok having watched 3 of your sonic review's I can say this. You are not an open minded gamer when it comes to sonic. You seem to in general not like him or his friends which makes you not care for his stories or gameplay. The ring collection in any sonic game is not anything to worry about if you at least have one ring. I don't know why that has ever been an issue in a sonic game. "You can't collect rings correctly" BS. The rings don't affect your game completion only your score.
I quite liked this game as it has a lot of references to older Sonic games, like Sonic Adventure. The characters are well to their personalities and the gameplay is surprisingly good.
The storyline is, really, not bad at all (SPOILER ALERT: Marauders are not robots, they're all echidnas named Nocturnals). The beginning, however, was like watching a Michael Bay movie. How the hell did Tails bring down the Egg Carrier Mk. II by pulling a few cables?? Alas, that's SEGA for you.
the only thing this game fails at is capturing the sonic feel, and I'm not talking about speed, I'm talking about the elements that make a good sonic game, like the badniks for example, in mario rpgs you fight the series' classic enemies but why can't you do that in sonic chronicles? Especially Gamesweasel, who doesn't care for sonic games at all!
@allyzado I'm a fan of both franchises, but recent games in both are either disappointing or just overrated. For example, people consider Super Mario 64 to be one of the best games ever, but I have it, and it's SO boring compared to the Galaxy games (which I REALLY like). Super Mario Galaxy was the first game that I bought for my Wii. I also got a 2000 Points Gift Card, so I decided to use it on Super Mario 64 for the VC.
I loved Super Mario Galaxy. I would play it an hour a day, and constantly keep on playing it ever day. While with Super Mario 64, I would OCCASIONALLY play it for 15 minutes.
64 was just so boring compared to Galaxy, it felt like too much on an objective-based platformer, and the camera & controls felt pretty clunky.

While I can't think of ANY precision-based 2D platformer AT ALL that even holds a candle to SMB3 & SMBW. (I say "precision-based" because the Sonic trilogy on the Genesis was also awesome, but it isn't precision-based, it's speed-based).

Nothing new in terms of gaming or sonic? Because if you don't consider a sonic RPG new then i can't fathom what you're talking about. It can be very hard on the first playthrough. I died multiple times. It was never meant to be compared to other RPG's because it's almost nothing like them, seriously when i played this game i didn't find it all that similar to other RPG's, aside from the buying new equipment and leveling up which weren't very big components.
The most ridiculous part of this game is the fact that they make you watch the 35 second full motion video every time you boot up the game (you can't bypass it). It's not even all that great. And when you close your DS, it restarts it over again.
Also, has any one else experiences a glitch were the music stops playing?
Mario RPG and Paper Mario are way better then this. It's just so much funner then just playing a sonic RPG game on a DS. It's much more harder too and thats what makes a good game.

Also, yeah, the Super Mario Bros. 2D games including (for me especially) Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3 were like, the coolest. But that has nothing to do with Super Mario 64 being one of the greatest games ever. Just saying.

@Sonicrega There's nothing that I consider truly remarkable about it, today. I accept that it was totally amazing back then, but so many 3D platformers released afterwards have done it so much better.
While I can't think of ANY precision-based 2D platformer AT ALL that even holds a candle to SMB3 & SMBW. (I say "precision-based" because the Sonic trilogy on the Genesis was also awesome, but it isn't precision-based, it's speed-based).

Nothing new in terms of gaming or sonic? Because if you don't consider a sonic RPG new then i can't fathom what you're talking about. It can be very hard on the first playthrough. I died multiple times. It was never meant to be compared to other RPG's because it's almost nothing like them, seriously when i played this game i didn't find it all that similar to other RPG's, aside from the buying new equipment and leveling up which weren't very big components.

The most ridiculous part of this game is the fact that they make you watch the 35 second full motion video every time you boot up the game (you can't bypass it). It's not even all that great. And when you close your DS, it restarts it over again.
Also, has any one else experiences a glitch were the music stops playing?

Mario RPG and Paper Mario are way better then this. It's just so much funner then just playing a sonic RPG game on a DS. It's much more harder too and thats what makes a good game.

the hell. this games a 8. the thing i dont like about your reviews is that you base games on difulcuty and compare them to any other game thats out. this isnt as good as final fantasy so you give it a bad review. it ticks me off becouse this is a great game you shouldnt miss out on. you not once said any thing was bad other then the diffulcity and story. that should only bring a game down 1 or 2 points but 4 just for that is retarted
