@LegacyFromGC People are no longer allowed into the buildings due to the fire department condemning them unsafe for people to travel through. We were allowed in back in 2007 cause the filmmaker making to movie paid the local county for use of the property. But that was back before it was said to be unsafe.

@TheRalphus666 those cops that you see in the video are actually actors in the film that was shooting there when I shot this video. The actual security was never in the building with us and only outside patrolling. We had full rein of the place and i think that makes it a lot better since you can spend as much time as possible in the place.

Overbrook was such a cool place I do believe they tore alot of the buildings down though.I hope the people move out of Greystone Ive wanted to explore that place for years now.At overbrook me and my buddy seen a guy in the hallway dressed in 70's clothes and he went into a room so we walk down and look in the room and there was nobody in there plus it was on the 3rd floor.

Grew up a block away from here and then just cut through the field dividing suburbia from dementia, beautiful old buildings, wild stories about the place. It used to actually be considered a small town 'til the beginning of the last century, and the sleigh riding on the hill in back will never be forgotten.

I heard they were beginning to reuse some of the old structures, that's good.

There is security. The sheriff was there today. I'm not sure if someone is patroling all the time or if he goes back a few times a day. We were able to get in the buildings across the street, not sure what they are but the hospital was completely locked down. I'd like to go back again before they tear it down and try more spots in the hospital parts.

Cool film...just sent it to a friend I grew up with. As a kid growing up in Cedar Grove, there were only 16,000 people...only half of them were committed in Overbrook. Interesting reflection on days gone by....nicely done. Music is perfect for your video.

My mother was there, committed in the early 1970's and I remember what it looked and sounded like. Very grim. I was 18 & 19 years old and used to visit every couple of days.

Sorry to bother you but saw your response re: Overbrook on UTube. I'm doing some family research. I know one relative was there and suspect another. Do you know if there was a cemetary there? Just found out about Overbrook. Any info. on where to find more info would be appreciated. Specifically looking for someone there in the late 1800s and maybe someone there (but not burried there) around 1940ish to 1960. Thanks.
