  • very funny movie, Sly The Best!!!!

  • People always eyeroll at me when I tell them this movie is a comedy with Sylvester Stallone in it, but I have to force them to watch it for them to start rolling in laughter XD

  • Grandissimo Figaro!!! Grandissimo Snaps Provolone!!!

  • omg! when i was like 5 i used to watch the opening of this movie all the time, i loved it so much. it's like something from a creepy nightmare. memories.

  • i agree, this is head n shoulders above any! rendition.

    earle patriarco, u da MAING!

  • BRAVO!! BRAVISSIMO!! MAESTRO!!

This is by far the best Largo Al Factotum version ever!!

    Great claynimation job, too!!

  • This version is sung by the professional opera singer "Earle Patriarco" if you don't believe me his name is also listed in the credits at the end of movie and hilariously the animator also took his stage movements from real life, as well as this is him singing the song. So basically this whole scene revolves around Earle himself and his stage presents as well as this is his cover of the song and voice. He is also my absolutely wonderful father <3 Hes amazing.

  • this version is the best of all that i have ever heard and i've heard many. live performances or on cd. but this particular version rules them all. and i can't find it anywhere but here. any ideas?

  • @fakinjutub My father sung it his name is Earle Patriarco, if you look him up you can probably find him anywhere online, hes a very famous opera singer from the metrapolitan opera in new york city.

  • Mozart! Mozart! xD

PD: If this was not written by Mozart, then was made by Eminem... im sure, 100%.

  • one of the few opera type music that I actually enjoy. I usually listen to rock, hip hop, and metal

  • @erlandday I'm exactly the same way! Another song I dearly love is "Con Te Partiro" by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. Check it out, you may like it (if you don't already) =)

  • Who sang this version?

  • Performed by Earle Patriarco

    Conducted by Elmer Bernstein

  • I don't know why but I always loved this bit when I was 4. I still have this clip on tape, but I've never seen the movie only the opening

  • Super Mario has real talent enough to feed own gut, without working as plumber :)

  • brilliant film....laughed my ass off!!!!!

  • what a beautiful movie

  • +*¨^¨*+ BRAVA +*¨^¨*+ This movie was absolutely brilliant ~ proud to be an italian

  • Sly is my favorite actor and this movie was very underrated - one of the funniest comedies from 90's. Sly, Ornella Muti, Vincent Spano, Chazz Palminteri, Don Ameche, Peter Riegert and Marisa Tomei were brilliant.

  • @Magnolia296 Curry... CURRY! TIM EFFING CURRY! :D

  • "...Fiiiigaaaro,Fiiigaaro...Fiigaro,Figaro,Figaro...." Hahaha! I love this and I love the movie.

  • i love italians

  • @skinnyminny25 Ty! We love you too!

  • Barber of sevilla by rossini

  • but mozart produced the opera which was amazing

  • No. Actually Mozart wrote "La Nozze di Figaro" (The Marriage of Figaro). That's a completely different work from The Barber of Seville (here, Figaro is the name of the barber)

  • Gioachino ROSSINI - Aria "Largo al Factotum", from the opera "il Barbiere di Siviglia" (The Barber of Seville)

  • I always look for this movie to buy when I go into a store but can never find it. I haven't checked the internet yet. What a great show. I was12 when it came out and I remember watching it over and over again always laughing.

  • Would love to know who sings this...

  • Earle Patriarco

  • Man, really, really thanks for this upload!! I love this song and the movie is great. Years ago I tried to find this movie just because of this opening! But it's really difficult to find old movies here in Brasília. And now I've found it here.

    Thnks bro!

  • It´s not Mozart, idiot. It is Rossini.

  • idiot, am i? check wikipedia.

  • Let me explain: Mozart made the opera "la nozze di Figaro" (the wedding of Figaro). It's different from this song here.

This is "Largo al Factotum" from the opera "il barbieri di Siviglia" (the Barber of Seville), composed by Rossini. 'Figaro' is the name of the barber.

Lardawan is right, but he's not polite.

  • ?? Seriously?

  • @dganiteg

    Yes you are. Check again.

  • @dganiteg lololol

  • @dganiteg Mozart wrote "The Marriage of Figaro", not "The Barber of Seville", which is where THIS aria is from...which was written by Rossini

  • @dganiteg wikipedia isnt even a reliable resource. just sayin. anyone can make changes to it. lol

  • Comment removed

  • @dganiteg wikipedia is not good source of information... it's Rossini

  • @Lardawan idiot, it's mozart

  • @GrrrMaria Nope. It's Barber of Seville by Rossini.
