Take note to his comment about doing this method to young squirrels. I had an adult male I tried this on and it didn't work well. Should have cut it in the back.

I am looking for both but i would like to reserve the pelt in good condition to hang it and use it for hats etc...

P.S. I tried skinning my first few squirrels last month using this method. It worked fairly well. I had it down pat by my 3rd one. You definitely have to have a sharp knife though for going up the tail end

did it and i accidentally cut too deep and kinda made two squirrels out of him so i was a bit harder to clean my first one but i got the hang of it now.. its good advise though i guess practice makes perfect. thanks for the video
