  • WHATS AHTF?

  • We're moving (post divorce) to what used to be our vacation house. It's across a creek from a state highway and backed by a forest preserve. We've had mice--not a problem for me since we weren't there full time. A pest control co.removed them just this spring before we moved in. How do I keep them out--of the house, but especially out of the stored toilet paper under the beds and sinks? I'm really not up for trapping rodents that resemble many of our pets over the years.

  • @LaurieLou64me DO LIKE I DO. GET SOME CATS!!!! CATS ARE MY ONLY SOLUTION TO RATS. B4 I HAD CATS, I HAD RATS, AFTER THE CATS CAME, NO MORE RATS. SIMPLE SOLUTION.

  • Our goal is to completely remove ourselves from the "grid" and to be 100% self sufficient in all aspects of life if possible. We want this style of life regardless if TSHTF. We feel that self sufficience is realized through an amassed collection of KNOWLEDGE from several areas of survival skill sets. We would be really greatful if you might consider teaching us your canning methods and your "tricks of the trade" regarding your knowledge in canning, jarring, drying, smoking, etc.. TY, Blessings!

  • @rioschonberger I have lots of video's on how to that I think will make you feel very confident in canning for yourself. Blessings!

  • Hi BexarPrepper, our family is a new but feverish "prepper family" . We are educated in Biological sciences and are trying to educate ourselves in self sufficience as quickly as possible, (we have three children=family of five). We live here in San Antonio on the north side off of Redland road. We have made plans to relocate into one of a possible three delicately chosen states in the Northern Rocky Mountains. It may sound strange to the typical person but we are convicted in our plans.seenext

  • TY for the multiple pressure canner idea.

  • @AngusMcSpuds Your welcome. Blessings!

  • I never considered my self a prepper just trying to live as much as possable self sufficiotly. I have 2000 jars for my family of 3. My mother keeps 4-5000. No I do not have a basement I keep the empties in the barn and the full jars under the beds and converted a extra bedroom closet into a pantry. I just gathered the jars on auctions and put the word out that i needed them they came from everywhere! I also dehydrate and store that food into gallon pickle jars.

  • @Sorren11 Wow they take up so much room have you thought about dehydrating in order to reduce the utilization of space. Blessings!

  • I assume you're in San Antonio, as am I. I think our city might be the best big city to be in during a WROL situation. Its defenitely safer than New York or Chicago or Philadelphia. It also helps that our city is packed full of guns, because an armed society is a polite society.

  • @AtheistPatriot1 I agree it is much safer but would still get really bad if people can't feed their children . so I Will head to my retreat if the need ever arises. Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper Yeah, I'm going to be looking to buy some land out in the countryside and build my own retreat there. The trick is I need to find some affordable land thats maybe 2 or 3k an acre. Do you know of any good deals in our neck of the woods?

  • @AtheistPatriot1 I agree it is much safer but would still get really bad if people can't feed their children . so I Will head to my retreat if the need ever arises. Blessings!

  • @AtheistPatriot1 I agree it is much safer but would still get really bad if people can't feed their children . so I Will head to my retreat if the need ever arises. Blessings!

  • Nice background setting :-)

A suggestion though, you may want to secure all of those canned foods so they wouldn't fall off the shelves (and possibly damage some of the cans and break the glass jars).

Also you may want to put foam or cardboard in between those glass jars -so they don't bang against each other.

I am not sure where you live, but major earthquakes are what I am thinking of when giving you this advice :-)

  • @CPTMBrotherRyan Already took care of that I now have shelf restraints. Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper Awesome! :-)

  • I just wanted to thank you for all the great info. I have really learned a lot! Sometimes all the information out there can be confusing, but you simplify things and make it easy to understand.

  • @livinginthepast2012 Thank you I'm glad you found the information useful. Blessings!

  • Good presentation and the way your approach is. And your exactly right with not needing thousands of jars. Your welcome to stop by our forum anytime you want to share this knowledge Thanks for the good info! prepperlog com

  • @Prepperlog Thanks I'll try to check it out soon. Blessings!

  • LMAO, i love how these folds think they are not going to be discovered if on camera or not. Hey genius's, if you have an email address or a cell phone, you already have your own file and they know exactly where you are, what you buy, what you like and your daily habits. If you have an account on here, then that means you have a google (cia) account and are in the system for certain........Enjoy your wake up call.

  • @HappyJackProduction1 I'm not sure whom your referring to. I know they already know me. The minute I served in the military. as far as the added exposure on YouTube I believe most of usdid a cost/benefit analysis and decided helping others to prepare won. Blessings!

  • @HappyJackProduction1 what a fuck'n prick you are.the best part is,you wont make it long:)

  • @kenziesmakeup123 Fuck your mouth you ignorant sheep, back to the basement with you.

  • What happens if SHTF because of an earthquake?

Your shelves might be strong but what's going to stop everything from falling off the shelves?

You really need a barrier to keep everything on the shelf and the shelf should be secured to the wall.

  • @hilltopfarmsplumbing LOL see comments below I know and am putting up boards as we speak :) Blessings!

  • Don't forget to salt your meat too! :)

  • @forGodandCountry7 got bags of meat curing salt on my shelves. Blessings!

  • You should ask me about freezedried THRIVEfoods. its what i use and its the best

  • @sawdustjohnpa I'm in total agreement and there are many aspects of living off the land that I am still learning just as others are. So lets all learn and teach another. Blessings!

  • I LIKE YOUR VIDEO PLEASE TELL THE NEW VIEWING PREPPERS HOW TO USE THE MYLAR BAGS ALSO DO YOU KNOW THE MATERIALS THEY MADE THE BAGS OUT OF. P.S HOW LONG WILL THE FOOD STAY FRESH ONCE YOU OPEN THE BAGS.AND WHERE CAN YOU BUY THEM. THANK YOU.

  • @MsIsness Check out my video on just that subject. watch?v=1QScayqqRFs

    Blessings!

  • Those shelves on Your Right scare me. I would hate to see them go down.

  • @paddythatyankbastard they are really very sturdy. Now I wouldn't be putting alot of quart canning jars on them but they work great for what's on them. Blessings!

  • What is the differences in wheat? You have Red& white, Hard & soft, which is best for long term storage?

  • You are a prepper and you choose to have a commercial, give me a friggen brake...

  • @blinko656 sorry you feel that way as I explain in my contest video it's being used for other prepper 's. Blessings!

  • I agree with your point about not needing a huge supply of jars. I have a fair amount of jars but what I am getting lots of are the lids. and a local stores prices just went from $1.86 per box to $4.38 a box, so I ran to another store that I know carries a good amount of canning supplies and bought up a munch. May have just been a one time price increase or ??? but no harm in having a ton of extra lids around.

  • Your grandparents had a store available if they wanted/needed something. SHTF and that option could be no more. I can mostly meats so I have something to augment my dried vegies, rices, and noodles. Keep up the good work and thanks for the video!

  • Rotation of your pantry is essential. In case of a real emergency you need to already be in the routine of using and rotating your goods. I dehydrated for years and urge a word of caution when using plastic for storage. Did a lil experiment with dried rose hips and half in a plastic bag half in a glass jar, 6 months later the plastic bag the hips were black the jared looked as the day I put them in. Same with seed, store in glass/ceramic or paper, you will be grateful later on with viable seed.

  • @007fastball Great information and I would agree. I either use ball jars or mylar and O2 to keep mine. Blessings!

  • @007fastball I also noticed that freeze dried products even in glass go bad much quicker than dehydrated. So use within 1 year once opening freeze dried products. Blessings!

  • Many years ago my grand mother always had twelve cases pack away under the house in a tiny root celar six meat / fish cases on the north wall and six cases of veggies on the south wall

  • I was just back for a review. I like this one a lot.

  • @tesskansas lol thank you it reveals alot about me. Blessings!

  • Store up vallium and other calming meds... just for the first few days anyway, or for those relatives that are freaking out.

  • @darbone Yes I already have stored lots of medications. Worse case everyone will be sleeping LOL Blessings!

  • I think you demonstrated your patients when the cell phone went off. You will do great! No worries…

  • @SurvivalReality that ring now brings me both joy and sadness now she passed away2weeks later. Blessings!

  • @permiepat I agree we preppers will indeed save many. I understand your concerns and although I am not in earthquake country anything is possible. So I will be putting up 1x's to protect the shelves. Your concern is appreciated. Blessings!

  • the upper shelf is bending in the middle , fix it :)

it would be a pitty if it cracked and destroyed the other canned foods

  • @herbalpeace Good eyes :) Blessings!

  • Good points on the methods of preserving, glad I found you on YouTube. Do you have any recommendations on drying foods/vids or websites? I'm a newbie at this. God bless

  • @Ifitallfails I got started by watching dehydrate2store on yt?. I have a few videos in playlistism dehydrate. Blessings!

  • I agree with the 50 to 75% dry Prep.

Its less expensive, it stores much much longer, and its one of those things you can buy and forget for 10+ years. Rotating food is a pain and often leads to skimping and consumption of food when money is tight, at least with small containers of food. It takes greater need to work up the willpower to break open a 5gallon bucket of rice than a can of something. :)

  • @ViolentKisses87 True but you should still be rotating everything including your buckets. I try to keep everything in a can on a 5 year rotation and in a bucket on a 10 year that way I never get overwhelmed with what needs to be replaced. Blessings!

  • what crysis' have you been through???

  • @RoughNeckRage Not sure what your referring to? Blessings!

  • I am just starting out on this preparedness stuff. Would love to know what you have on all those shelves maybe give me some ideas. Looks wonderful !!

  • @soonfully Check out my video on what can you dehydrate ( watch?v=nrqH-aOQyz0) That should get you started. Blessings!

  • Hiya bexar, I want to give you kudos for your preperations. I wish to bring to your attention somthing I see over and over again with glass jars. Must secure those glass jars, as one good shake and all that goodness will be broken on the floor. This is a easy fix, just put a lip on the edge. You may still lose a few jars, but not all of them. When (it is a matter of when) a good shake comes your way, you are prepared. Think of your preps as a ship and work storing in that frame of mind.

  • @007fastball you are correct that is a must. Blessings!

  • how are you gonna transport these jars, cause when i picture and plan for SHTF i plan to be on the move and to go anywhere at a moments notice.do you have a plan to transport or is this simply a food shortage scenario.

  • @stemcg11 these have already been transported to my bug out location no need to ever move them again. Blessings!

  • My preps are advanced enough that I will have refrigeration, need lots more than100 empty jars and lids.. that will be a great barter item

  • @dsarti1 you ought to show us how. Someday I hope to advance to that point myself. Blessings!

  • Think EARTHQUAKE!! :) really, seriously.

  • @WATCHMANTRUTH007 I would probably loose the shed befir a single jar falls. :-) Blessings!

  • ALRIGHT! WHO"S CALLING YOU BABY?

  • @thecrow1280 ??? you lost me I didn't hear anyone calling me baby? Blessings!

  • Gosh, you sure do clean up nice, sweetheart. And hello again, been a long time since we've connercted. Sorry, reality reared its ugly-beautful head, as reality often does. Hope youre doing well, and I hope your gifty arrived. Keep in touch!

  • FYI, Don't count one game animals as a food source. Shortly after the Great Depression started in the midwest dear, turkey, and several others became extinct. Their populations had to be seeded. In talking to older folk, dear are still not back to those population levels and we think they are breeding like rats. A local heard may be a couple dozen to a hundred when they used to be in the 2 - 3 thousand in a heard. In efficiant use of kills was a leading cause.

  • @Robbob9933 I agree, that's why I don't recommend storing thousands of empty jars, mine are full of meat because that's what's gonna be scarce first. I just wish more people would realize that living off the land without any storage will be a very hungry time. Blessings!

  • @Robbob9933 it's interesting to look at other societies, for instance in cambodia during pol pot many people sustained themselves on rodents, frogs, and bugs. Nature is quite abundant if you can set aside your pride, and weak stomach :)

  • @gobbly1337 Been through jungle survival training as well as mountain warfare training. The jungle is not as sustainable as people may think. Most plants and animals will wither eat you or kill you. Only followers of Pol Pot survived Pol Pot in Cambodia, the rest fled to Vietnam and Thailand. Less modern people living in the jungles are slash and burn farmers that primarily grow yams, squash, and a cereal crop, this is world wide.

  • @Robbob9933 o_O I think you know less about Cambodia at that time than you think. What you call followers were in fact forced labor, and they were starving to death. Trust me, I've been over there regularly since, and I've talked to many many people who lived through it. Regardless, you have your experience, I have mine. My experience is that if you know what you're doing, and are desperate, you can survive off mother nature. I'm not talking about sustaining societies, I'm taking shtf :)

  • @gobbly1337 I would agree that people that desire to live will develop stong stomaches. I wasn't too keen on rabbit offal but if lungs were all you had to eat, well lungs it was. Just make the pieces small enough to swallow without chewing.

  • @gobbly1337 Cont. Only semi modern agricultural at the least can support modern human living. Semi modern would eleminate the vast surpluses in countries such as the US. Most US cities could achieve food sustainability inside city limits. People would have to learn how to can and preserve again.

  • I disagree on thre number of canning jars, one hundred may be alright today, but after the SHsTF and the trucks stop rolling and the stores close up, a family will need about 1400

  • I agree with you. I don't think people are taking into consideration that they will empty and recycle jars as they consume the contents. So as long as you have enough to put away fresh produce and fresh kills from hunting you should be good.

  • Great Video Bexar. We are getting our basement ready to paint and put the shelfs up. So Im going to start stocking up on prepping items.

  • Bless you BexarPrepper! You have so much great information!

  • Sounds like you have anxiety... Do you get panic attacks?

  • @CaliforniaPrepper LOL your funny :) Blessings!

  • Great insight and information! :) Bread video still uploading, it's at the halfway point. :)

  • @ewetubesuxass woo hoo can't wait. You should have seen the two loaves I just made... I'm building a cabin and I think they will make a wonderful path :) Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper LOL that's funny, I love this bread it reminds me of the Roman Meal bread Mom use to buy when I was a kid. Do they even still make that bread I wonder, been so long since I've bought bread. It was back then the only whole wheat bread I could stand to eat.

  • Nicem great info, thanks for sharing.

    Peace

  • I was just noticing... that shelving unit looks like it could use a lot more reinforcements... it just takes one weak support to lose half your preps! Might want to look into metal shelves that bolt to the wall. Just my thoughts, would hate to see all that work shatter on the floor!!

  • @Prepper7 Thank you. A wonderful friend built those for me and I would hate to hurt his feelings by ripping them out. I do beleive they are much stronger than they look. Blessings!

  • @Prepper7 Or, just get some milk crates and put them in the center of the shelves as column support. But, it does look like the entire shelving system is made up of scrap wood, so she probably should just start from scratch and plan it out better. It would be a shame to see those shelves break and that food crash to the floor.

  • Good info about what to do when you bag a 100 lb dear, it makes sense to have different strategic ways of preserving. I love your food storage ;) There is something comforting knowing how to survive and provide for your family, and that even extends to learning how to forage, hunt and old school medicinals for when the SHTF situations. The more you know the better, no one can take knowledge away from you ;) I am constantly learning and passing off that info to my husband & family & vic versa.

  • @BexarPrepper for the 20 personalities start passing the pipe around to help calm everyone...mullein is said to bring a calming effect without the negative mary jane effects = )

I think a master list of priorities or a check list will help maintain order and prevent chaos. Hard to say thou you never know how people are going to react. That's why I think mentally preparing yourself is so important.

I'm sure you guys will be ok! God Bless

  • @MrsNewAmericaNow What are the negative mary jane effects? :}

  • @ewetubesuxass you eat a lot...lol

  • @MrsNewAmericaNow I never really thought that was a negative effect, hummm could be what kept me from starving in my last marriage, she was a terrible cook!

  • @ewetubesuxass just add garlic, it makes almost everything taste better. you don't want to over eat when your rationing food stores. ; )

  • I reuse the canning lids to store non perishables like herbs, spices, teas and roots. How long the meat will last also depends on your climate, we have a freezer 6months out of the year...lol. We store a lot on the porch during the winter. I agree people will have to get back to eating fresh which is so much healthier. A lot of people have forgotten how to dry corn, garlic and apples without a dehydrator.

  • @MrsNewAmericaNow You right about people not knowing how to dehydrate without power. It will be a learning curve for everyone if it ever comes to that. Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper I have a dehydrating rack for my solar oven. Where there's a will.......................

  • Thank You for your reply!

  • That was some great advise! I am working on my stock pile as I type this. Keep putting it out there sister... the information is invaluable! P.S. it was nice to see you in front of the camera!

  • @cfenster thank you ;) Blessings!

  • I'm sure you will manage everyone just fine. As for the canning jars - I'm so obsessed right now I would like 2000 empty jars lol. I started taking a deposit for my jars, or a trade. I've received 3 cases of fuse concentrate packets (which makes150 gallons of green honey tea no high fructose). LADY! I think you have closer to 500 jars coz I have 350 and it's not close to yours! I love watching you! Keep It Up!!! I learn so much from you.

  • @TheSheChef I think your right. I went back to one of my video's and started counting just what's at the retreat and went geezzz was I way off LOL Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper that is the BEST miscalculation ever - I wish I could underestimate my stores - but being a newbie canner I am constantly admiring the beauty of the contents.

  • @TheSheChef Well I am canning for a family that is experiencing hard times right now so I'm only keeping a few out of every case so I stopped counting when that started so now I'm confused. LOL Blessings!

  • Nice video. May people didn't pay attention to the skills their grandparents knew. In a day and age when all is available within a 5-10 minute drive to the grocery its easy to understand why the art has been lost. I think it is healthy and wonderful canning is resurfacing again and can't wait to have at it myself.

  • @resourcefulgirl You can pick up a Presto pretty inexpensivly just do it. Prices are only gonna get higher. Blessings!

  • my goodness!!! your a pretty gal! im curious, since it doesnt sound much like a bear county accent, where are you from originally? you actually have zero decernable accent and the only place i know where people have no accent is northen connecticut.

  • @bctruck My formative years were in CA and MA but being a military brat you didn't stay long enough in one place to gain an accent. Blessings!

  • Hey, it's good to see you! :D Thanks for your perspective on the canning jars. I've seen people saying 1000 to 2000, and it had me a little stressed out. I'm glad to hear you say 300-ish. I've never been a huge canner-- I do a few, but I dry most of my fruit. I figure I'll pick up on the canning if worse gets to worse, but I was a little overwhelmed at the thought of thousands of jars! Really appreciate your thoughts on it.

  • @callmecordelia1 You know once you start canning you will want to put everything in jars :) Blessings!

  • Thanks for this video, makes lots of sense. God Bless

  • Good video. I probably have in the 1000 range of canning jars. I have just about ran out of large mouth qt's. today. Canning tomatoes we did 49 qt. I also have been switching to the Tattler lids. But slowly and it wont be a complete swich since I also share with other family members and friends. If I don't get the jars back they won't get any more!

  • @Buckrun11 I started saying the same thing and I just got back a jar that I canned mint jelly in 1986. Threats work LOL Blessings!

  • at first i thought you were talkin about just yer personalities but know after watching fer the second time i find out that not only do i have to deal with all my personalities but others as well i best get on the ball lol

great video i dont think my grandmaw ever had over 500 canning jars all together n she was raising 10 kids by herself she never canned meat till the boys got older n started to hunt they did raise a large garden that she had bartered someone to come and plow up ever yr

  • @rdnkrfnk LOL yes our own personalities are going to be big in the mix since all of the food storage and preps are ours. We'll have to watch out for thinking we get to make all the decisions. Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper i dont care who makes the decision long as i get to eat i can usually make a go of a garden but its just so dry here that i ran my 275 gal tank out of water on my garden before it died and nothing the ground was just soaking it up so fast like i was pouring water down a hole or one of them cracks in the ground

  • You're adorable and should be on camera more often! It's really nice to see you! We're vegetarian and eat no meat, so our situation is different too. We have to grow as much as possible in the good season; put up as much extra for the winter during that time too and learn to grow SOME things during the cold weather while also eating what was canned during the growing season.

  • That's a beautiful sight. Sub'd. I'm new to prepping. Aloha, J.

  • What were the lids do you recommend? I did not catch it. Thank you

  • @Survial9999 Tattler lids. Blessings!

  • Love the ring tone, sweet child o' mine..LOL I agree on the dry part. Our dehydrator runs almost 24/7. During Irene, I quickly realized that a freezer full of food is a liability. On the Tattler lids, same deal. $21 for 3 doz sounds expensive, but they are worth it. I have trouble vac sealing jars with reg lids, but the Tattlers work perfectly, EVERYTIME. Nice job BP. ;-)

  • great channel bexar learned alot from nice to put a face with the voice. Your nice looking women and im glad im sud, to you ty fro the great info you put out hope you never stop

  • @canfaller Aw thanks but eventually I will run out of things to teach until then thanks for watching. Blessings!

  • How would you use a pressure cooker if you dont have any electricity? Would you use it on a wood burner stove or some sort of an outside fire? I was wondering...also, the dehydrators run on electriciy, too! I think that a person could learn to dry meat like the American Indians did in the early days! Smoking meat sounds more likely! I guess that salt presevation is another option!...Thanks....I love, love , love your channel!! I look for your updates & videos..everyday on Youtube!!

  • @KatNip2007 You could use a fish fryer and propane at first or if you lost power suddenly. But the long term is either an open fire or a wood stove. As for dehydrating your car will do a great job with just a couple of screens from your house windows. I also store dry cure for my meat. Blessings!

  • my split personality i call ugene.....he only comes out when im angry.....he likes axes...he scares me

  • @angrynhpatriot LOL well next time he comes out I have some trees I need chopped up into mulch. Blessings!

  • @BexarPrepper you made ugene laugh....i dont think thats ever happened.....he says thanks

  • Brilliant channel. I believe you, along with Katzcradul are the two youtube experts I admire most. You would do well to show yourself in more videos. Very charismatic. Thank you for all the great information you have shared with us.

  • @slugmonkey12 Thank you for watching and for the compliments. That puts me in great company Katz is the best :) Blessings!

  • Well I know one thing you lack,. the ability to build shelves look at them.pleas fix them. thankyou. good luck

  • @Rinny1976 LOL they are holding the food so good enough for me. Blessings!

  • @bexarprepper great points as always my friend. I agree with the dry stores, I think the lids for me are the biggest need. I have acquired about 220 jars with canned items and now I'm concentrating on "extras" while rotating thru what I have canned. Thanks for your thoughts, take care.

  • It takes a lot of food to feed a family. It's always good to see someone willing to show a full pantry like it was in the 'old days!'

Often it is possible to hear a guy on a 'prepping channel' say, "My wife ain't interested in prepping." As a guy myself, I know what is going on. The man wants to buy another 20 guns just in case there is a 'zombie attack' and the woman wants to set aside extra food for the harder times ahead.

  • I am new to your channel and am glad I found you. I learn a ton each time I watch. Thank you.

  • Thank you. I forwarded this video to my sisters as well, since we are all working on our storage and getting prepared.

  • your a life and pocket book saver..thank you so much. Cant wait to go check them out

  • Love the pantry!

  • Wow impressing canning job ! , nice to put a face on the voice thank you for sharing knowledge

  • As a wee lad I recall my grandmother putting up her possibles. She lived hard when most we're just livin'. Don't recall the deatails but the ethic has always made me strong. Thanks for filling the gaps so I can learn to provide for myself and the ones I love...

  • Good to see you and thanks for the wisdom.

  • Great vid as usual...thumbs up for the GNR as a ring tone. ;-)

  • One thing that I learned from hurricane Irene is that as a prepper I'm mentally prepared for the possibility that life as I know it may change. My non-prepper husband isn't mentally prepared for it. Dealing with 20 people while they come to the realization that they will no longer have electricity or the comforts it provides will be a tough job.

  • @imstillworkin Very well stated. Blessings!

  • I've used the Tattler lids for 6 or more years now and I have a nice collection of them. You can say next year you bought them when they were cheaper. :) Remember write on the jar not the lid.

How to store and how much to prep is really different depending on climate. Freezing winters is good for food storage. We use to hot water can meat and fish 3 hours at a time. A rolling boil water a few inches over the tops. Now they say not to do that you'll die from it.You can more with many pots.

  • @GrannySays Great information. Blessings!

  • I like the broad perspective from a person with some experience.

    Take care.

  • great vid, do you recommend any place in or around san antonio where i can pick up freeze dried food in bulk. all i ever find is the individual meals at stores. thank you

  • @sanantoniospurs9 Yes my most favorite store "Breaking Bread The Healthy Way" They have everthing and you can also order the 50 lb bags a couple of times a year. 210 Jackson Keller bbthw.weebly(dot)com

  • Really good, well thought out advise on storage and stocking items for canning. I also am slowing moving into the tattler lids. They are a bit more to start out, but should more than pay for themselves over the long run. I was wondering, I know you make your own laundry soap, but do you have in your storage all the supplies you will need to make it if you aren't able to go and buy them from the store? I think soaps are a bit overlooked in preps, but maybe that was just me..lol

  • @rondygal Ofcourse I have enough supplies to make at least 200 gallons at both the retreat and in my home. Your right I think that is an overlooked prep item. Blessings!

  • that was good.......

  • You look great!! Nice to finally meet you!!...great video, ty!

  • It's nice to finally put a face to the name. Great video. You are such an inspiration.

  • You got it so together! Thanks!

  • Im glad to see everything is ok at your land.

    Thank you.

  • Anyways wonderful video as usual.

  • I am so glad to see someone else bring up the mental part of what a SHTF life will mean. This is going to be big trouble. It's fresh on my mind since hurricane Ike. I was injured badly 2 days befor Ike hit &there was no time to see a doc for a follow up for meds, he evacuated. I wasn't supposed to be walking. I had to stay with my ex, his mistress, my kids, & 2 others for 2 weeks. They're all drunks & I lost my mind a couple times. No pharmacy for pain meds, no ice for my wounds, just pure HELL

  • @whimberly1 Oh that would suck big time. Expecially the mistress and keeping it all together for the kids. Bless you!

  • enjoyed this video.. great to see you on camera again..LOL I agree the whole personality thing may pose a problem.. I am like you and work better under pressure as well. Maybe we can manage after all. Fingers crossed that we never have to find out! TJ
