I feel like a contradiction sometimes. I love the past, but am a huge sci-fi fan, as well as a pretty big gamer. Yes, I heard this because of Bioshock, and I love the Ink Spots because of Fallout. Heck, Mafia II was neat because of the era cars and such, but the music was my favorite part of the entire game. Not to mention the huge relevance of "Ain't That a Kick in the Head" in both Mafia II and Fallout New Vegas. Old music > New music in a majority of cases, especially this era of music.

There are performers who play ON the stage and there are those who OWN the stage. Bobby Darin owned it. And he was cool too. He possessed the indefinable quality, swagger, to the nth degree. Most guys never get it. Sinatra had it too. When they performed, you couldn't take your eyes off of them and they had absolute control over their voices. Rare indeed.
