The Who follow the Beatles in my God of Rock tier list, and I've always found it whimsical how both of them started out on one end of the spectrum (Beatles as Rockers, Who as Mods) but then as they expanded musically they also developed their own styles that would themselves become iconic of the era. Badasses, all of them.

@Hazzasproductions "Mods" are as dead as "rockers", both influenced modern fashions, if anything in the modern world, Chavs are comparable to mods when up town, in their shirts and shoes getting into clubs, while grebbos are compairable to rockers, being turned away from places etc, what makes me laugh is when outcasts idealise mods (the mods have a "cult" success because of the film Quadrophenia) over rockers, when mods despised anything "outcast"

Face it, out of the two groups, in both style and Ethos, Rockers are more like Grebbos and people into rock, while mods had an attitude similier to "Trendies", Townies and Chavs, Chavs even use the same type of insults on grebbos/alternatives that mods used in reference to rockers. Mods are now viewed as "counter-cultural", something they aint.

@Hazzasproductions Also the reason why Mods seem to have a bigger status tha rockers, its simply because of the cult Status of Quadrophenia, that movie was the on that made people think Mods put loads of mirrors on their scooters, it also made me laugh with the "I want to be diffrent, thats why I'm a Mod" line, mods were never about being diffrent, they were about following the next "in" fashion, Mods were just 1960s trendies.
