I dig what you're doing, man. I've got a kaossilator pro myself, next piece of equipment I want to get is an MPC500. I use reaper as well. Do you have a bandcamp or soundcloud? Mine's at arborbarbatus. bandcamp. com if you feel like checking out what I've done with just the kaossilator recording into audacity and adding fx in reaper.
I think the Kaossilator will be the next gadget i will buy ... it is truly amazing what you can do with this thing, if you only put some time into it and a little bit creativity =) good job done here ;)
Do you wanna tell me which software you are using for your records ?
@optimystikill Thank you! Yeah, it really ticked me off when people would say it's a toy so I experimented. It's not about the gear, it's about the ideas put into it.
For me KP3 is a much more powerful sampler than KPRO, except for multi-layering capabilities. With KP3, you have more control over the loops: let you set the exact point of start, trigger them in 4 modes and the resample feature, something that KPRO doesn't have. Regarding K1, KPRO has much more beautiful sounds among 100 new ones, but lacks some key features like the pattern types in the arp, or fix/undo feature while you are layering. I think is nice, though, but it isn't "all in one" at all.
@darksideofdarkness I know it's not all in one, I was saying I wish they'd merge the two. We know the KP3 can do synths as it comes with some, and the KPro can do sampling and some effects, I wish Korg would just make ONE Kaoss pad with all the functionality. Even the shell is exactly the same, aside from a couple of different button functions. I really want a KP3, though. When I get the loot, it's on.
@BeatsFromDP In my opinion, you won't be dissapointed at all, KP3 is a worderful device. It's one of those you won't want to replace it for years. Besides the sampler I was talking about, the effects are simply incredible. Even when you can use it for DJ purposes, I use it to apply effects and sample whatever sound I produce with other sources different than Kaossilator. It worth every penny, believe me.
@darksideofdarkness After the last 2 days of watching nothing but videos on it, I caved and bought a KP3 since it was no financing for a year (signed up for one of their credit cards). I've been toying with it for 3 hours straight, just sampling off my mp3 player alone. I don't even need the manual, really, it's very intuitive. Loving it so far!
Thanks, fhoplist. I wish they'd just merge the KP3 and KPro into one, since one's more of a synth and the other's an effects processor. Can't wait to hear some tracks putting it to use!

@Satanzbrut Thank you! I only use Reaper as software, for sequencing. I don't like virtual instruments, personally.

so the beat is from the mpc and the fx is from the kaossilator =) ?

@Satanzbrut Yep!

@Sordld Thanks! I personally think it's a slop job, but I'm trying to get the hang of actually "playing" the KPro, as I'm used to having a keyboard.

I bought the Korg Kaoss Pad 3 back in August or so. I love the Grater and filters. Expect to hear the influence in later beats.
Yea the tracks is pretty cool.... The synths are nice too.
