were do i buy a hobby tech shell from ?...i have a G 12 but its a lima and its not accurate for what i need/like..do you know were i can buy them from fully powered/DCC sound installed?
@EMDSD14R To buy the shell you should contact the seller on hobbytec.com.br . Try to e-mail them. They don't have it on stock, all items are produced after customer order and it takes about 3 months to be made. If you wanna see another photos check out my flickr website.
There is no place where to find that locomotive already powered with DCC, it must by made by yourself using Atlas S1 trucks and motors.
@dltorres1610 oh i see....well it shouldn't be hard to make a frame for it....and to get the parts/get DCC in it would just as easy..i'll give it a try..btw i may have to ask them this but since they make the G12 if a customer were to ask would they make them a G 16?..thanks oh i'll send u three vid's on my SD 14r..they never made them in real life but if they did they would look like the one i've made
@dltorres1610 You can buy the locomotive made by frateschi, but we have problems. The scale is not HO, it's 1:78, but they do good (not so much) models. You pay a lower price, but the model made by hobbytec are better.
Que beleza! eu tinha apenas 6 anos quando esta locomotiva passava perto de casa - local: Sao Torquato, Vila Velha, ES. a linha de trem vai dali ate ao Rio de Janeiro. Me lembro ate quando transportava passageiros (Vitoria/Rio) que saudades da RFFSA! confissao de menino arteiro: eu era louco pra pegar ponga com muita cautela e claro, sempre querendo estar bem ao extremo externo e bem agarrado! uma vez quase apanhei e dai fiquei so na vontade! hehe ate hoje eu faria a mesma coisa!

diz uma coisa ficou linda sua g12, queria sabe se vc usou somente o motor e truques da s2 ou vc retirou a carcaca e depois serrou o estrado da s2 da atlas que he de ferro e foi adptando, diz ai pq hj desmontei uma s2 para adaptar na carcaca da hobby tech e quase tive um susto ao ver que a maquin era de ferro, poderia me dar mais detalhes, obrigado
Cintra, todas as suas observações estão corretas. Da S-2 eu utilizei os truques (truques completos, com o parafuso de fixação inclusive) e os motores. Os cardãs e o chassi eu fiz artesanalmente, porém creio que algum modelo Atlas se encaixe, e nesse momento estou fazendo esta pesquisa. Caso queira maiores detalhes me envie um e-mail pois estoou para fazer o passo a passo para a Hobbytec. Daniel.

Essa maquina cai como uma luva na HOm que alias é meu projeto para o proximo ano quando estarei me aposentando e me dedicando ao hobby
