  • Why does DAIRY get its own section!?!?!?!?! If only it was replaced with WATER!!!!

  • the first lady is not an elected official and has no right to dictate anything to the american people. meat is being taken off of school breakfast not as a health issue but to cut cost. it should be up to the parents working in co ordination with the school to determine what children eat at school not an unelected first lady in washington. yes kids should eat better but that is the parents concern, and nobody elses.

  • Track forward to 1:27...In summary...cereal, two bottles of unlabeled medication, coffee for children, and a clear line of sight to fruit in the middle of the table = good health.

  • @mpodevin Lol.

  • very informative video

  • Perhaps we should spend less time surfing the net and more time exercising:-)

  • I wonder how much it will cost taxpayers for the government to change the campaign from the pyramid to the plate? I could fill a pickup with the pyramid posters found in just one school. Millions? Billions? The kids finally got used to the pyramid...They will all need to be reprogrammed:-)

  • I agree totally with ThatPinkFloydSound...it's good to eat cause it tastes better!

  • So who else caught the pharmaceutical drugs in front of the kid sitting at the table at 1:29 ? The White House Says: "All your base, are belong to us!"

  • Here's my plate: Meat (nice fatty cuts) and dairy (especially real butter) (1/2), veggies (1/3), Limited fruits (~1/6 or less). I've never felt better. Skip the "low fat" crap.... why have we accepted the bs idea that you need to starve yourself to be healthy? Grains are bad (yes even "whole grains"). They metabolize into sugar almost directly and cause insulin spikes and weight gain. If you eat a higher fat, higher protein, low carb diet, you feel better and lose weight. Ain't that a bitch?

  • @ThatPinkFloydSound Try it lols. U think u need that crap but since you've never tried differently you cant judge. After eating healthy for a while even trying some high-fat shit makes you want to never eat that shit again. No one said eating healthy is untasty! Its even better if you actually try it. Of course a lot depends on the person. Some can eat loads of shit and stay fit, some get fat even eating healthy food. Its 50% genes, 50% food in my opinion.

  • @Semikindless That is how I eat. Works great for me. I had 6 eggs and some ham for breakfast this morning

  • If everyone in school gets a good amount of nutrition education, I don't think we need to learn how to eat healthy from the government. However, with all these education funding being cut, let's just hope that we will be able to keep PE classes at least.

  • RAW IS BETTER!

  • I don't think it should be a war on the size of a person; it should be about health for all people. I am not sure if this will work becuase it still does not feed the American people healthy foods in healthy proportions. There is always going to be a problem untill the price of fresh foods goes down, fresh foods are fast and advertised more then fast food. Then we can become healthy no matter what size a perosn is in America.

  • I don't get why you guys want to see Michelle Obama's BMI- if you look at her you can already tell she is definitely not obese and looks decently fit. If anything, she's probably much more fit than a lot of you people here protesting this are.

I'm pretty sure they aren't trying to offend you but rather to help you, so just take help. Goodness.

  • I hate the new site. They made everything dumbed down.Plus, you cannot make a personalized "plate" whereas you could on MyPyramid.

  • @MinnowsAreRad

You still have access to MyPyramid and it is one of the links on the new site... I think the new MyPlate may later be expanded but right now is mainly just a simplified option between the two... Since people/kids don't like to read much "boring" stuff on gov sites.

ChooseMyPlate.gov (the new site) > Subjects (the side menu...) > The Basics > Interactive Tools > Food Planner

  • Who's here for Florida Virtual School?

  • @onionmayn I'm procrastinating doing my work by being on this channel. lol.

  • It's blackhouse youtube channel, yay!

  • Protein is NOT a food group and this is still based on the 7 countries study despite the fact that it has been disproved.

  • @andrealaurenmunoz Glad you agree! The problem isn't the name though- there are plenty of sources of calcium in the protein and veggies categories (better sources than dairy, for sure). Dairy is only still included because of the industry's financial ties with our government. It should be dropped altogether!

  • Can Donald Trump force Michelle Obama to disclose her true BMI to the American people?

  • Funny, someone obese telling the rest of the country how to eat. What's Michelles BMI?

  • @DeanJameson1 how is she obese? Have you seen pictures of her? She's def not obese and maybe barely overweight, but then again, she's had 2 kids.

  • lmao. totally lets you know how incompetent the government is. yes, lets replace the lame-o food pyramid with another lame-o and costly project while passing legislation that supports industrialized agriculture. there's a reason that soda and cheeseburger costs less than a bag of organic carrots. change and hope my ass. same as before.

  • Find more links and help on diet control and getting Health Insurance in CA at steveshorr /405/obesity_weight_control.htm

  • Jeeze, people. Settle down! If you agree with the changes, follow them. If you don't, YouTube is not a very productive outlet to voice your concerns.

  • @andrealaurenmunoz And what would you consider productive? Congress?

  • Fudooboards?? for real?? i'd say that MyPlate looks nothing like that whatsoever. other than the fact that they are both plates, there is nothing else. google health and plate, nutrition and plate, food and plate, etc., and you'll see that the plate concept is certainly not unique to Fudooboards or USDA. so just who did Fudooboards copy off of, that's the question!

  • @ddave26ddave26 They do seem to be identical except one has the food drawn on it and the other does not. The groupings are exactly the same - identical -, except maybe the fudooboards are explained as to what each group is. It appears from their website the fudooboards are trademarked.

  • The USDA and Michelle Obama stole MyPlate from Fudooboards. They did not "create" this nor was it any Federal Government brainchild. Give credit where credit is due, but stealing now, too?

  • Any creative way to remind people to eat a balanced diet is welcome, and it is the goal of good governance. Contrary to what thinking, people do need reminders to make healthy daily choices, it doesn't come easy.

  • This is even more RETARDED tha the food pyramid scheme ...I love how the feds love to use the false ''one size fit all'' theme in everything they do. WHAT A JOKE!!!

  • Fuck the USDA.

  • EDUCATION, MOTHERFUCKERS. UNDERSTAND AND MOVE ON

  • I wonder how many millions of dollars our government spent on this. If you're retarded enough not to know about basic nutrition a silly little diagram isn't going to help you.

  • I think this is great! much easier for the average person to understand, lets live a healthy live-style america!

  • @XOhSoAlyson They stole this from Fudooboards - it is no USDA/Michelle Obama brainchild.

  • @BuckOffama so? haha

  • Bravo, this is way better than the last set up. Thankful that there are so many plant proteins included. Still perturbed that dairy is its own category though. Sellouts.

  • @rockfan1987 I agree. Dairy should be renamed to Calcium. Or something catchier. haha

  • @andrealaurenmunoz but with all the bovine growth hormones and estrogens in the US dairy, i'm not sure that's a good thing to promote. Unless its organic and who can afford that?

  • Give me a healthy food that tastes exactly like macaroni and cheese, and I'll eat it. How about one that tastes exactly like popcorn? The problem isn't "healthy" food verses "unhealthy" food - it's taste, taste, taste!

  • This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. It looks like a Little Tikes play food set to learn about colors.

The portions look relatively the same, no servings size, per meal? per day?

How long did Sasquatch work on this?

  • Tom Vilsack, big fat jowly m-f.

  • MyPyramid, MyPlate, blah blah blah. It should be called MyFatAss. Load up on bread, y'all! Don't even think about eating meat! If you want to be healthy, avoid this bullshit like plague.

  • As if the Pyramid was the problem. it wasn't that its difficult to understand what to eat, i would guess 99% of Americans know enough to eat more vegetables and less bread and meats to be healthier, but its the actual act of choosing healthier choices over McDonalds or fast food. replace fast food with an alternative, and that will make the difference.

    THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE!

  • @Thatcrazykidbrendan No, you're off a bit. Framing the issue as "healthy choice" vs "McDonald's" is a false dichotomy.

"More vegetables and less bread and meats"? Nonsense. It depends when and under which circumstances these are consumed. In any case, the USDA has been telling people to load up on bread for years.

The whole USDA Dietary Guidelines project is misguided.

  • @JackBlair2 there is no way bread can be considered a healthier choice then vegetables. bread has plenty of carbs and less vitamins then vegetables.

  • @Thatcrazykidbrendan grains are needed more because they have more carbs because people are suppose to exercise, but i doubt you know what exercise is, get off your scooter and go for a walk.

  • @DJDancinRick in case you didnt know, eating healthy AND excersize is the key to being healthy, not eating a bunch of carbs and excersizing. unless you are an athlete that does strenuous activities for a long period of time, then you do not need extra carbs, say more bread then vegetables, you would just need a normal diet which includes having plenty of vegetables and less bread and carbs. Stick to that diet of more bread then vegetables and ill see you on the scooter in a few years.

  • @DJDancinRick US grains are laced with roundup - the US had to force other countries to import it cuz they can't get rid of it. Roundup was never even approved by the EPA yet we're all ingesting it. It's killing everyone.

  • @MrFoxhunterman That's amazing, I'm a farmer and the grains that are produced from Roundup are perfectly healthy. Don't try and spread fear and lies when you don't have any truth behind your statement. RR2Y (Roundup Ready 2 Yield) is what most grains are going to use in the future which is going to produce a higher yield while making the grain even safer. Don't knock the farmers because you and I both know if we go on strike, the country won't be able to feed people and animals.

  • @DJDancinRick Perfectly healthy. Yup. So you're with the *farmer's union*? Go on strike - wtf, everyone else is. Frankly, most people can grow their own food if forced to, regardless of what laws the Federal Government has tried to pass to prevent it. But don't think for one moment you (or they) are going to force feed poison down our throats. Been happening, but isn't gonna happen much longer, my friend.

  • @MrFoxhunterman 3 months later, gtfo.

  • This will ruin my life. I live to eat.

  • I don't think the USDA is trying to control how you eat, that's up to you. You can eat however you like just know the consequences of all the bad foods you eat. Remember you are what you eat. I remember when I was over weight, that saying couldn't have been more true. When you eat sh-t you feel like sh-t, I lost 60 lbs and I feel great and I did it on my own!. I feel great and now I control what I eat.

  • @honeegrrl: au contraire ~ they already want to penalize "naughty food" w/higher taxes (chips, soda, etc), just as they recently did w/indoor tanning.

Some cities have already begun. When there's penalties on sodas, what about juice with a lot of sugar? Candy? Muffins? If they'll impose a penalty tax on chips, why not other foods w/similar nutritional values? Hey, we'll just form a panel of experts creating more & more layers of Govt! What a pathetic quagmire

Tis why Govt needs to back off

  • If that plate were Barack's, it would be hamburger and fries with ice cream. Moochelle would be yelling at him for eating that kind of food instead of the roots and bark she probably feeds him at home.

  • @truthforamerica I"m sure he doesn't eat like that all the time, if he did he would be as big as a house. It's okay to have junk food once in a while. I lost 60 lbs and I don't deprive myself of my favorite foods but I also eat very healthy too. It's all about moderation. Even my doctor told me this. You can still eat your favorite foods just don't eat them too much. I'm sure G. Bush Jr., G. Bush Sr., B. Clinton have all eaten junk food too.

  • It is unbelievable. What is there not to like about this? The US smoking rate dropped when we started educating our kids, saving potentially million in health care cost. Hopefully we can do the same with eating habits.

  • @MsVision2020

Oh, kind of how they thought it was a great idea to tell americans to eat more concentrated carbohydrates? Or how they thought they could consider a couple packets of ketchup as a serving of fruit? Or how about convincing americans that hydrogenated vegetable oils is better for you than butter?

Truly the list of ignorant government ideas that end up do more harm than help is endless. Only brainless zombies listen to a word these "experts" spew.

  • Thank god I live in a country where smart people can take time to teach me how I should live and what I should eat. I really thought eating chocolate and McDonalds every meal was the only way you could go with it but I was wrong.

  • Wow, this is just one more reason I am voting to help re-elect Obama in 2012!!!!

  • @groundhog2008 wow, could you be any more obvious about working for this asshole ?

  • soooo, why isn't the Department of Health making this instead of the department of agriculture - is it just me, because I would rather take health information from a Doctor, than a farmer...just saying

  • The Dumbocrats might as well get Rob Reiner to tell us what is healthy for us and what is not.

  • I love reading the comments protesting this... It's a guideline to help educate people, they aren't trying to run your lives. It's no wonder why there are so many obese people in America.

  • @BizzMarki Thank goodness I finally found a comment that I can wholeheartedly agree on. Thanks for that.

  • @BizzMarki "they aren't trying to run your lives" Uh yes they are. You realize that laws controlling the content of food get passed all the time right? That is the very definition of trying to run everyone's lives numb-nuts.

  • @BizzMarki because of people like you that this country is bankrupt. I have a good idea, how about you volunteer to donate Omaba 2 million dollars to help educate people instead of using my and other peoples' tax money. If you really want to be sympathy and all of that crap, squeeze your pocket out, don't make us pay for that too

  • @IIrond It's because of uneducated people like you that America is falling behind the rest of the world... If you understood anything about economics and cost/benefit you would realize $2million is relatively very small spending on a national scale. Do you even have a clue how many $millions, possibly $billions are being wasted on the cost obese people have on the healthcare system? If people actually started making healthier choices because of this it would actually have a postive net effect

  • @BizzMarki: I think what you're missing, at least in my view, is that this new "plate" in no way informs the public about portions/food types/servings than the pyramid did. In fact, a lot less so.

-The portions of food groups on the plate look similar in size.

    -Per meal, per day?

-Where are number of servings per day like those that were on the pyramid?

Therefore, I don't care if it was $200. It's a waste of money & provides nothing of value ~ except to say, "Michelle did something".

  • @BizzMarki Im in great shape there BIZZ MARKI .Dont need the feds to tell me how to eat. Ironically you named yourself after a fat rapper.

  • @BizzMarki I agree that is all true. But why is the goverment wstingime telling us what to eat? We know whats good for us, but some choose to eat badly. Instead they should be talking and doing something about America's rising debt and prices on everything. Now that's something they sould be working none stop to fix/control/over come, not tellingus what we already know.

  • Why does it take 2 million dollars to make a pie chart?

  • What a waste of 2 MILLION DOLLARS!

  • Also: "It's easy"? To balance every meal? How much time and money do the fictional people who would find that easy have on their hands?

  • I like the colored plate. It's great for kids visuals. But, . . . let's focus on omitting preservatives, GMO's and pestisides from our plates Mr. Vilsack, otherwise this is a waste of time.

  • stop genetically modifiying our food...get rid of bid business corn industry, and give a break to the organic farmers....THIS will help. That plate diagram will do nothing if it is still filled with processed crap sponsored by the US government.

  • Ron Paul has ran for pres many times and he still does not get the Hint. We don;t want him for pres. I guess he can waste much dollars..of course he does not have a chance.

  • GO FUCK YOUR SELF Ms.Obama!I will eat what i wont bitch!!!!

  • Dr. Ron Paul for president in 2012 long live the Republic!

  • WAISTFULL, DESTRUCTIVE, and UNHEALTHY. Just like the govenment, of wait it is the govenment.

  • This is a lot simpler than both previous pyramids, and makes it much easier to follow a healthy diet!

  • If you wanna learn about healthy eating look up the type 2 diabetes diet

  • who cares about meals? eat at your computer, not at a table.

    June 3, 2011 5:09 am

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, White House & USDA, but NO, NO, NO!!!

More grains even than protein!? NO grains belong on a human's plate.

Paleolithic hominids did not consume grains, were not obese, and suffered none of our modern-day diseases.

    Coincidence? I think not.

  • I find it amuseing that a guy with Fat cheeks and a flabby neck is telling us what to eat. Really?? Practice what you preach before telling others how "They should eat".

  • Comment removed

  • @SharkDude1 @SharkDude1 its a guideline Its not telling anyone that this is how they have to eat but how they can gain benefits from eating a certain way! an older guy who as you say has a "flabby neck" could be from weight loss or in some cases people just have that extra skin! you shouldn't be so judgmental and rude. Some very healthy people are not a size 2-and are bigger built in structure-Guidelines do not need to be followed so dont be rude about something you dont have to follow..

  • @SharkDude1 Oh, come on, you can't be serious. His staff of scientists came up with these things, not the secretary himself.

  • Too many tasteless vegetables and this stupid plate is missing desert, unless ice cream counts for dairy...

I and all Americans know what's good, and what's not as good to eat, so Big Gov't can just piss off and stop wasting our tax payer monies. The pyramid already exists and works fine; why the hell change?

  • @ForceSmart

Keep eating double chesse burgers with diet cokes and die sooner. One less stinky republican!

    Have a nice day

  • @ecuadoreandog Hmm, assumptions... I swim 2 hours, or about 4 miles a day, eat what I want and drink regular soda with real sugar; screw aspartame, etc. Also, a "stinky Republican", and I'm a conservative 1st, Republican 2nd, cannot smell worse than an Ecuadorian mongrel whipped into submission by the cane of the idiotic left. Try to smarten up and recognize that Gov't should have no role in personal dietary plannings. If I want to die maybe a year or two sooner, so be it. I'll enjoy my food.

  • @ForceSmart You are one ignorant motherfucker.

  • @ForceSmart apparently you and all Americans don't know what's good for you because all of you redneck southern Republicans are obese! congrats. actually maybe we should just let you eat whatever the fuck you want and maybe you fat asses will die off because of type II Diabetes!

  • We voted for change. This is part of it. Why are people complaining?

  • This was another flat out waste of money and dumb as hell. I'd like to shove the plate up their ass. 2 million dollars for that. I'm guessing 1.99 of it went in somebodies pocket. Doesn't change anything and you just want people to load up on carbs and fruit sugar while they sit around playing Xbox or something.

  • TSNorm = this is epic fail dumb democrat edicted sheer stupidity 101! Just shows that there are too many government-grifters in the government offices. To have sat around and re-invented something that WA$ ALREADY THERE! And this paper-plate-ploy? Only in owebummer world would they re-invent the wheel. Bill the tax payers MO MONEY! And call that "good" .......

  • It was the 4 food groups, then the food pyramid and now the MyPlate.

  • But you say nothing about the dangerous dairy you want us to put on those plates that many of us are finding it difficult to fill to start with. Your plate de jour is BS with a capital B and where are the changes to how we grow the food, raise the protein or even how this is all so badly managed in a delivery system of costs that net you neither a healthy standard of living or a source of food?. So balance the budget, let me worry about what to put on my own plate please. Nanny Freaks!

  • And the most important part of your daily lives. Eat more vegatables and fruits often than delay too long and better than eating junk foods more. Because of your health need strengths, is from natural foods as vegatables and fruits alway. One thing, I do not eat meat too.

  • Perhaps what i think it is getting betetr than old one. but as today. But problem I have is, I do not eat meats.

  • people will eat what they can afford to fill their bellies, dickwads in dc

  • Wow. is there ever a lot of fatties on here complaining about someone going out of their way to help them be less ignorant when it comes to dietary choices. Looks great on y'all. That attitude is what had gotten two thirds of the adults to be obese in the greatest country in the world.

  • look at your belly. if you feel fat then start working out.

  • "Calcium choices for those who do not consume dairy products include: Calcium fortified juices, cereals, breads, rice milk, or almond milk; Canned fish (sardines, salmon with bones) soybeans and other soy products (tofu made with calcium sulfate, soy yogurt, tempeh), some other beans, and some leafy greens (collard and turnip greens, kale, bok choy). The amount of calcium that can be absorbed from these foods varies." Why did they choose to label it as dairy instead of calcium?

  • @Forlorn79 I would guess because the Department of Agriculture supports the Dairy industry. They may care about informing people on a healthy diet, but the bottom line is still money.

  • fuck you.

this is the kind of shit you do while the country is sinking.

    wastrel 'bama.

  • As a teacher who has been referring to the pyramid for years, I have experienced first hand the confusion children have had with grasping the relationship between the pyramid and what they should be eating. I think this is definitely a step in the right direction, at least in terms of working with kids. The family scene eating soup out of a bowl doesn't make sense with this promotion-Or is that a beef stew with veggies and whole wheat noodles? Are those two vitamin bottles on the table? Oops.

  • The thing about the pyramids was that they gave more accurate representations about what portion of your food intake should be made up of what food groups, whereas this plate seems to give little more than relative indication. Would've been better had they just divvied it up like a pie chart.. Also, slap some percentages on that plate, Christ. Must be considered to read because it doesn't provide any real information.

  • something is wrong with this world, its cheaper to buy a 2liter soda than buying a watermelon.

  • good propaganda. u trolls just chill

  • Just eat a balanced diet, and ignore the gimmicks the fat people think up when they're sitting around stuffing their faces.

  • wow this is confusing and stuped

  • my\______________/

  • It says nothing about quantity. Oh yeah, and quit drinking coke, that's why everybody is fat.

  • The greater importance of vegetables and lesser presence of grains in MyPlate is excellent. We really do need to eat more veggies and fruits than we do, and cut back on the stuff we weren't mean to eat, like grains and dairy.

  • sounds like MOOOOOOCHELE( White House) wants to control ALL of our eating habits....she should practic what she preaches

  • Funny how everything's called MySomething these days! MySpace, MyPlate, MyThisandthat, etc. Are we getting too possessive?

  • While choosemyplate.gov may not be the most informative website, at least they are trying to help. For anyone genuinely looking to improve his/her diet, I recommend whfoods.com/foodstoc.php -- a hugely informative website that also offers recipes.

  • EAT ORGANIC ! buy local, farmers markets !! don't buy corporate foods, tell the white house to stop feeding Americans bull crap

  • @NiteAngel Organic Is a lie There is no such thing, It's just marketing and slogan ...Just stay away from Ingredient's you can pronounce is probably the best advice

  • I support this and think the critics need to get a grip. Why anyone would argue over things that will make you healthier and happier in the long run, I have no idea. Get over yourselves and stop buy fast food! I mean is America really that sick in the head that they enjoy being fat and miserable? Come on! We can do better! It's your life friends, you only get one. If you won't fight for it, then who will?

  • The white area better be frosting or I'm never using MyPlate...

  • @GloveDoesntFit That was simultaneously awful and awesome lol.

  • Did we have to pay someone to invent the "MyPlate"? How many man-hours went into this.

  • Prosecute Bush, Cheney, Obama Now!

Assassinating Americans, Illegal Search/Seizure, FBI Sneak/Peek, Warrantless Wiretaps, Secret Rendition, Torture of Suspects and Whistleblowers (Manning), Gitmo, Indefinite Detention even after acquittal, using Depleted Uranium on Civilians & US Troops, Wall St. Bailout and Foreign Banks like Libya, Increased Military, Internet Kill Switch, Higher Taxes, Medicaid Cuts, Signing Statements, Bypassing Congress, War Crimes, etc

  • I think it is great.

  • Jesus is lord, make him savior and reign over your hearts. Ask Jesus into heart! Jesus is number 1.

  • That website design looks like it was made 10 years ago :)

  • WHERE THE FUCK IS MY FAT AND OILS????

  • @bass109 Hey nutburger, this is no place for your pseudo-Fred Phelps proselytizing. This is a video informing people about the new nutrition standards being set by the USDA.

  • Comment removed

  • Jesus will be with you all forever, anywhere you go. Jesus will deliver you. Make him number 1. Jesus is blessing, his mercy endless, seek his love and mercy. Let lord change your lives. Jesus love you all, walk in spirit and truth.

  • WOW this should really cause people to slim down...what a waste of our TAX DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im 12 and wat is dis?

    IIFYM?!

  • this video is garbage and so is this idea.

  • personal relationship with Jesus will get you into heaven. Make that relationship grow everyday. God love you all in Jesus. talk to lord, praise lord, thank the lord, Jesus is with you forever.

  • @bass109 Please keep your belief system to yourself. Your comments are irrelevant to the topic of this video and therefore spam.

  • @ihyokin hahahahaha

  • everyone have personal relationship with Jesus. Jesus will be your family.

Your Decision To follow Jesus christ Is the most important decision you will ever make.

  • Now try to find vegetables and fruits in an american fast food restaurant.Good luck.

  • @JoeDurobot stay away from fast food restaurants

where you eat and what you eat is a choice.

  • Great idea, but too much grain on that plate. I use basically the Zone. 3-6 oz of protein then the rest vegetables. Portion control is KEY. Fruit is restricted because of the sugar intake, but it's natural sugar as opposed to high fructose corn syrup. And addressing corn - the corn industry has screwed us all up, and whether corn is considered a grain or a vegetable, I've pretty much removed it from m diet in protest. And I want Michael Pollan to be Agriculture Secretary.

  • Useful, AND ! (in my opinion), CUTE Video !!!

  • I never really found anything wrong with the pyramid but this is certainly a step in the right direction. And hey offering an easy site for information about healthy foods couldn't hurt.

  • after f**king everybody up for the past 30 years now they feel sympathy towards eating healthy! couldn't the government do this 30 years earlier! what a joke!

  • @AXHEJAZ Yea, there's lots the government could have done 30 years ago like regulate the financial industry more to prevent the last economy meltdown, promote education, promote manufacturing in the US and promote green tech. But it didn't. So it has to do it now. Also, epidemiological research takes time to confirm and reconfirm that obesity trends are rising and that obesity correlates with negative health outcomes. Then you have to get the government to do something which is another story.

  • @Gilgamesh417 well said!

  • I don't get it. What is this icon supposed to show?

  • Moving more + eating less = looking and feeling better (priceless)

Cost of video + salaries of photographers and writers etc paid with our tax dollars = ??????
